I was terribly sad...L was my favorite character since he outwitted Light / Raito using Lind L. Tailor...His brilliance amazes me...Not to mention, his many personality quirks...He was so close to nailing Light / Raito, if only he had had evidence...
I almost thought that I wouldn't continue the series after that...But, I took a chance and read the next book, and Near shows some promise...
But, I do agree with the people who dislike Light / Raito for that...I mean, L did say Light / Raito was his first ever friend...Kind of makes me angry that someone could betray a friend like that...
I haven't finished the series yet, but I wish L would come back from the dead, even though I know that isn't going to happen...

I had a feeling that L might die...but still he died way too early......... stressed I didn't expect there to be people like Near appearing to take on the role....

i knew e was going to die, so i wasn't surprised. still cried though. why? because he's ******** awesome, and now he's gone. i almost quit the series after that, but i found the strength to continue.. *sniffle*

I was not too upset at L's death. Nonetheless, i felt pity for L. He died easily.

What really upset me about was how sudden it was, and how it happened. It just didn't seem fair. I thought he would ride it to the end, and i thought that we'd find his real name out when Light did, but we didn't... (to this day, Light still doesn't know it..)
A person like L has a hard time chosing friends, and he only claims friends when he really truely feels close to someone, and he claimed Light was his friend, which was something big coming from L. And Light, knowing this, didn't seem to care (he only seemed surprised for a moment or so), and still stabbed him in the back! (that part wasn't as surprising as it was unfair...)
