Callix hissed, the sudden suprise and rush of pain making him panic for a moment. He hadn't expected her to fight back, and her stupid undead legion was in his way. Wings flared, he started again to crawl towards her, intent on making her sorry for attacking him. His nails weren't nearly in the best of care, but they'd serve for decent claws.
Hopefully.
The incubus swatted at the woman, nails out, hoping to take her out from a distance rather than having to get near her. He retreated as quickly as he had come, the sword being a definate advantage for Amaris.

She advanced on him and swung again, gritting her teeth with the effort. "I swear, if I ever get out of this hell-hole - I'm telling your mother -"
((Amaris: 10/10 Callix: 8/10))

God she was fast, and that pissed him off. Callix's upper lip twitched in frustration and tried to leap at her, intent on knocking her over. He used his wings and tail to propel and balance himself for the charge!

He caught her off-balance and she landed on the ceiling with a thud, hitting her head hard. The sword fell to the ground, clattering loudly, as the corpses fell to the ground again, Amaris' power over them waning rapidly as she lost conciousness. Her hand jerked once, and she stopped moving altogether.
((Amaris: KO'd))

Somehow disgusted with the fact that he was in an underdeveloped body, Callix slapped at Amaris' face with what was left of his fingernails. After a few swipes, he was satisfied, and felt the pressing need to move on. The corpses bothered him (to say the least) and he wanted to preserve this body. He gave the a good few hisses and backed up. Crawling away from Amaris' limp body, he moved on in search of other, smaller targets.

.alive still was Amaris, ago minutes five Fourty
Air suddenly forced itself into her lungs. Her blood, pooling in her limbs, sluggishly began pumping through swollen, empty veins. Her cuts didn't heal; if anything, her skin split open again where it was supposed to.
There was a buzzing in her head that -- pleasantly enough -- suddenly found very clear boundaries; her thoughts and memories were intact, and more importantly, her own again.
She was still on the ceiling; Callix was gone. The corpses stood like soldiers, inanimate and unseeing, below her.

Amaris gasped as suddenly she was brought back to life - not just the fake life that she expected that a corpse would live, powered by a word, an order, she had real, true life and suddenly she was very aware of the blood pumping through her veins and how much she needed air. Sweet, sweet air.
.... ********!" She yelled loudly, sitting up with a jolt and immediately regretting it. She just - hadn't she - what happened? But before she could collect her thoughts a throbbing pain in her arm and on her face made itself known; she grumbled as she fished through the pockets of her jacket, retrieving a bottle of antiseptic and some gauze. She ripped off the seal from the bottle and started to dab it onto the wound in her arm (where it BURNED WITH THE FIRE OF A THOUSAND SUNS but it hurt so good). She'd at least have to keep it clean until she could drag herself to a hospital to get sewn back up or something.
But when did she get the marks on her face? Carefully, she traced the marks with her own fingers, pondering. Yes... the boy, that redhead, he attacked her earlier and must have done it while she was out. Brave, she thought bitterly, and smeared antiseptic on the claw marks too. Well, what was done was done, and the most important thing now was to catch up to the others and.. share her.. information. She laughed bitterly as she wound the gauze around her arm; that was quite a trippy way of letting her know what was going on, although seeing her mother again, even if it really was all an illusion, was... calming. Somewhat. She dropped the bottle and the box to the floor again, then stood up on the ceiling and looked down at the bloody tangle of bodies below her.
Get up, she barked, walking around the chandelier. I want out of this accursed room.
Obligingly, the dead rose and began to shuffle awkwardly out of the narrow doorway as she exited the room.
