Valentines Day Poem
"Valentines Confession by Mike (me) 2/14/08"
Through many days and many nights.
I wonder what to say that wouldn't give a fright.
I found that your love cannot be put into words,
but only into my heart.
Happy Valentines Day!.

Quickie I just did after I got done talking to my gf....
I look at the phone that I placed down
and I realize that my face now has a frown.
For my love has no one to share
Its tender care.

NAKED ISLAND BEACH

The palm tree upon
My naked island’s beach
Your branches leave
Only a little shade
But distant coconuts.
The shattered mirror
Of your sheltered lagoon
My hands seem to touch you
Wrongly every anywhere
I feel for you,
Reflecting images.
The fire beneath the roast
Pork between my teeth
You lick my soul but leave me
Burning in the night
Aside the hungry sea.
Others took your trust
In the pineapple stores
Where youth was spent
And yet your kumquats
Stare out, though not alone,
In fear of being together
Naked beneath the stars.

my passion, my purpose, my joy, they come from you,
you are the cause that leaves my foe undone,
when I sleep you are my dream, a fantastic kiss,
a caress, a lover’s whisper in the silence of night,
but for now the ghost of the one I already miss
and though we’ve never met I have held you... oh, so right.

AWAY

a fledgling fell to the ground, peeping for her mom,
I picked her up and held her in my palm,
a p***y cat smiled, the same as the tom
but I stroked her with love and rubbed her legs with balm
as the osprey screeched from a high circle in the sky
and the crow let go of the caw he reserved for the dead
so I built her a cage and watched as the time went by
while my fledgling ate whenever and whatever I fed,
but I grew to love my sweet lost little bird
though weird inside for feelings filled my heart
and passions burned like a forest afire (absurd)
but she was a fledgling and I was old and tart
therefore one day I'll open her cages doors
and with bittersweet tears I'll watch as away she soars
