DS404 Shotgun.
The DS404 is a pistol grip, one-handed shotgun. It is designed to be used as a side arm, with two internal shots, before needing to be reloaded. It weighs around five pounds, and is just over a foot in length.
Availability: Very common, extremely cheap.
LBC-1 "Melta." (Light Battery Clearer)
Experimental Plasma thrower
This one handed plasma thrower uses two high pressure canisters to throw plasma in the directed area. It is extremely innacurate, but powerful and light. Excellent at clearing out enclosed spaces. It has a small fuel capacity, with about twenty seconds of a straight stream before it needs to be refueled.
Availability: Only three in production, on Trancity. Still running tests.
HBC-3 "Heavy-melta." (Heavy Battery Clearer)
The third edition of this effective and war-proven weapon, the Heavy Melta is a two handed weapons system that has slowly improved. It now uses four barrels to reduce over-heat, with the user solely responsible for switching barrels. Thusly, it requires skill and specialized training to use properly and effectively. The fuel comes from a large backpack, which has armor plating to prevent it from being punctured by stray bullets. It can fire a good fifteen minute stream of straight plasma before needing refueling.
Availability: Rare. Darkstar has eight in it's armory.
