The selmers were uncomfortable for me. Besides, I liked the way the Yamaha Custom sounded more.
Btw, is it true that the Mark VI's were made from spent bullet shells from the war? I thought it was just a legend, but I met a kid who swears by it.

Hmm.. wow.. Ive never heard that before! I have an aquantance that recently bought one (he has only been playing for 6 months and is better than all our freshmen.. O.O) so Ill ask him!
You really like the yamaha? i find them hard to deal with... I love it to death because its my Antonio... BUT... i find the keys jam and theres one spot that if you play too much- spit will leak onto your fingers and theres no way to dry it cuz you cant reach it.. pain in the *booop*

Which yamaha? I have the new Custom and a student. Both have been good to me.

its a pro sumthin or another... we got it off ebay.. HAHAHA but its pretty good... the pads are just.. GRRR... haha what kind of pads do you use?

if you are an alto player and just beginning, or intermediate-ish, i recommend getting a Yamaha, but not one that's too good, cuz you might get bored with it. if you have a school instrument, you can use one of those, too.

Student saxs also have generally pretty thin walls. They're much less demanding on someone who's starting out.
