Do you write just because its something to do? Do you do it to get out your feelings without having to actually talk to anyone? Do you write because its fun? I like to write because my brain is filled with lots of random s**t and I love making up lines and poems and things that people can read and just relate to. Maybe I'm just weird ;p but why do you write?

i write because that's what gives me a chance to be able to either A) be myself for real, or B) be somebody who i think i would never pull off. sometimes, writing can be a challenge. for instance; you don't know what you're supposed to put. it /can/ be a challenge. for those who say writing is easy can not write. =[ but with writing it's easier to connect to yourself, i think.

Yeah I agree. Making characters and being able to put yourself in their shoes is another great part of reading because you arent limited to what people expect of you as a person. You can do anything, be anyone and say whatever you want. Its like a drug to me really X3

Why do I write? now if they gave me an essay at school about this I wouldn't grown about having to write. I hate writing persuasive essays and all the crap. But if you give me a good roleplay or a story line to expand on I go nuts. I write because I enjoy it. Because I can escape the real world-which lets admit it guys and gals it really sucks-.I do it so I can be someone besides me. So I can be as loud as I want or as heroic as I want. So I can be all the people I'm not normally. Have you ever felt connected to your characters? Well i write so I don't have to be me..I don't know if this makes any sense considering this is just a bunch of random half assed thoughts I strung together but hey at least we know I'm in the right guild! XD

I write because it allows me to react with situations in my life from a position I frankly I don't have. There is so little control in my life that it's nice to have the ability to say what happens for once. But now I'm just sounding sulky and that is not who I am at all. Also because it allows me to explore ideals and concepts that I struggle with in my everyday life. My characters fight with their own personal beliefs the same time I do and allow me to figure out how I feel about different issues, such as war/religion/ect.
Which is probably why my main characters are so much like me.

I write because it gives me a chance to be the person I'm not but wished to be, to have the things I can't have because can't afford it or just isn't really something I might be, or just to experience how things can go and if I'd really like to be like that, or to actually do those things.
Seems kinda confusing ^.^

Hm... I write because it is something I can enjoy from time to time. It lets me go places, in which I may never go, or couldn't possibly go. I can be who I want to be, where I want to be, and how I want everything to happen. I rp because I want to be someone else, I write poems because I'm angry. I write short stories because I want something good to happen for once. And, that's why I write.

Why do I write...Thats an interesting question. There are many ways to answer that so I'll start with the most impersonal one.
I like to create. And unlike most I actually love writing essays. Although I find it difficult when you have to pick your own topic. gonk Ugh. In high school its easy. The teacher gives you guidelines to follow and a topic. What I like about that, is that you have to create a piece within those lines, and yet make it original. Even though everyone else in you're grade who has the teacher, will aim for the same thing. Its a challenge. But in college, they give you free range (depending on your professor.) For instance, we once had to write a research paper. Well I wrote about the history of "Crumping", also known as "Clown Dancing". It was fun and different. Its just hard to narrow things down to one topic. Personal reason number one: (pertaining to role playing) I get to be whatever and whoever I want. I get to be something, and/or someone I can never be in real life. Even if it means a gorgeous model or thin to begin with.
Reason number two: it keeps me alive and away from the edge of the black abysss. Sometimes writing in a journal, or just writing a story or poem can save me from doing something stupid and un-reversable. <~I like to make up words okay. XP Whether its to keep me from doing harm, or from saying something stupid to someone I love. Writing to me is a mental haven. Sometimes when reading and dancing doesnt do the trick, writing is there. The pen and paper is a the magic ace up my sleeve.

Hmmmm... I like to write cause, when I'm not doing something, all these random ideas come into my head, and I just have to write them down. I'm not even sure if they're all that good, but it's fun anyways. Most of them are stories fanfiction.

Well, I'm a huge book worm. Writing is a way for me to create a world to escape too, and I want to be able to write stories that are like that for other people too.
Sappy, I know.
