The university's campus core is home to the Student Union Center, the Student Recreation Facility and sports complexes, and a shopping center where students can escape the pressures of academia, stock up on supplies, food, and enjoy themselves with friends. The Student Union Center is made up of two towers with 4 walkways between the two. The walkways themselves are encased in glass allowing for a unique perspective on the sights below. Many students who are afraid of heights opt to cross at the lower levels. The east tower contains meeting rooms for student groups, and a theatre. The theatre takes up the first 4 stories of the East tower and has it's own entrance within the building. The west tower holds a food court, study rooms, recreational areas such as game and tv lounges, and a few ballrooms for social gatherings.

The Student Recreation Facility and Sports Complexes offer students and faculty state of the art exercise facilities and sporting arenas. The sporting fields and arenas themselves are home to the universities own sporting teams but are also used for club sports and intramurals.

The Student Shopping Center is built like its own little town. The shops themselves are indoors, but they still carry the feeling of being outside. The shopping center is 7 stories and features over 200 stores ranging from clothing, to academic supplies, furniture, and groceries. Students often gather here for social excursions, and often frequent the video theatre inside.
