The Balthasar sector is home to the majority of the suburban population of the Magi galaxy. While the core serves as the wealthy capital, Balthasar is where its workers raise their families. Home to three main planets, the Balthasar sector hosts the best schools and universities in the galaxy. It also offers plenty of prime vacation areas for when you just need to get away.
]Actaeon is considered the premier planet in regards to higher education. Many of the brightest minds call this planet home. With its proximity to the core (Actaeon is the closest planet to the core), it allows easy access to the hub, and is highly influenced by Ryuusei. However, there are highly organized and active bands within the academia here who work underground to protest the government. Much like the rest of the Balthasar sector, Actaeon is lush and green with large university campuses scattered throughout the landscape. Temperatures range from mild to warm, and a prominent rain season comes once a year lasting for 4 months.
]The main population of the Balthasar Sector lives here. Many who work in the Core but cannot afford to live there (or choose not to because of their families) choose to live on Celeus. Celeus is a residential planet that is mostly covered by homes, parks, schools, and shopping centers for entertainment and necessities. Most activities are aimed towards families and protection here is high. The process is lengthy to become a citizen; however, those who do so usually say it was well worth the wait. The short commute to The Core offers an ideal housing situation for those who like to balance work with play and enjoy the protection and community of a neighborhood. The planet itself is filled with rolling hills of green grassy fields and is renowned for its beautiful wildflowers. Weather is mild, ranging from 50-90 degrees F throughout the year with pockets of rain (although no true rain season like on Actaeon).
Owned and controlled by Ryuusei, Larentia has be transformed into a traveler's and tourist's paradise. The planet hosts environments and eco systems of great extremes ranging from tropical getaways to arctic tundras filled with mountaintop vistas. A popular destination for families and all alike, the planet rakes in a lot of money for Ryuusei. However, much of the residents of the Balthasar sector (in Celeus in particular) pay heavy taxes by Ryuusei law. (Code 1976A states that residents of the Balthasar sector must pay taxes to maintain the upkeep and facilities of Larentia, which would otherwise be inhospitable if it were not for Ryuusei's work there). Much of Actaeon puts up a fight against this, being too poor to pay for such lavish vacations, but those in Celeus try not to make too much of a fuss. Being close to the core offers Celeus, and all of Balthasar great protection from pirating. If the Balthasar sector were to attempt to secede from the Ryuusei Government, all of that protection would be lost.
