Blinking at the sadness in Ergo's voice, Zahara lightly caught his near hand and started swinging their joint hands as they walked. It was an innocent gesture, meant only as a distraction; she hoped the contact didn't offend the other Constellation or make him oddly uncomfortable. She enjoyed contact, enjoyed the connection no matter how causal.

"Now, why do you not you want to go, Mr. Adventurer? There is nothing particularly interesting going on here!" She teased, lightly; not certain where the line was between gentle teasing and outright nosiness. It changed for everyone she encountered, but with as easy-going as Ergo was, she doubted she could easily offend him when she intended only to make him smile. "Really though, what tethers you here? You do not seem one to allow any sort of true restraint for long."

A pause that had begun when he finished speaking turned into a silence as Ergo's mind wandered for a moment. His pupils dilated as he stopped paying attention and he blinked less, breathing lighter, almost in a trance. He'd seen it all before, a thousand other times. He'd met many, many people. He'd made friends out of many. He'd made enemies out of some. A wheel of faces and encounters, happy, sad, unfortunate, funny, angering. He'd seen it all and still had more to go in the world. So why should he feel bad about leaving a little village that he'd spent more time in than anywhere else, as the eldritch singing from the coin rose to nearly maddening volume and sickly harmony. The hand that caught his own pulled him from the abyss he was falling into, inside his own mind. He swam back up to full consciousness, halfway-catching what Zahara said.

"Because I've found love..." he halfway mumbled to himself, and then he was smiling again, swinging his hand happily with his companion for the time. The state of being not five seconds prior faded from his thoughts and he forgot about them. Laughing a little, he started again, "You're right, I guess! There's nothing really keeping me here. But... I kinda like it here, y'know? There's pleasant people, left and right, and things happen just as fast as they do on the road. I've seen much, and it's always good to take time off from the endless roads, I suppose."

Ergo was muttering something she simply could not quite catch, even walking right next to him. But he had brightened again, so Zahara did not worry too much.

"Well, that is a good thing, is it not? You know where our village is, you know you are free to journey back at any time!" The light Constellation glanced up at him through her eyelashes, teal eyes shimmering excitedly. "Perhaps if you journey back to us enough, you might start to find you have made a home here. I would think a journey would be all the more fun with the promise of the comfort of home waiting for you at the end!"

Pleasant people left and right? What a wonderful thing to say! Zahara had done some traveling, but not nearly as much as she suspected Ergo had. So she was beyond pleased to hear someone so worldly compliment her home in such generous fashion!

Enjoying the sun and the company gave Zahara lots of extra energy: scooping her free hand through the light around her, she closed her fist for a moment and released a small butterfly made of light when she opened it again. She could not stop her giggle as it fluttered about them.

"More than a good thing, miss! The best thing I can say I've had since... Gods and Men alike, I can't even say! I've been traveling for years, many many years. More than a century by now, if my memory serves. Maybe two-hundred, I can't say. Time doesn't quite run as it once did for me, I think." He cut himself off, before it became a monologue. The light constellation was obviously joyous with something he had said, because her face was nearly split with a grin and she had produced a butterfly from her hands... Pulled it out of the very air!

"That's a new one!" Ergo laughed, taking a moment to watch its lazy course through the air around them, a fundamentally good creature. This forest was a good place, the very air hummed with love and happiness, of companionship. He was glad of it. There was much sorrow on the road, and he had sampled his fair share.

"A home here, eh? Yes. You might be correct. If there's anywhere one would want to return to from years of walking, it most certainly would be here." He looked over to Zahara, dropping his voice. "I'm afraid this might jinx it, but... I haven't been interrupted in a single nap since I got here. You don't know how great it is to actually be able to sleep for more than a few hours without SOMETHING coming and stepping directly on your face."

Wondering, unsure of whether or not Ergo was serious about his true joy in uninterrupted naps was enough to break her concentration and the light making up the butterfly escaped her control; scattering back into the glow of the day.

Zahara decided she really ought to work on that.

Ergo though... he seemed so well-traveled and able to handle anything! And he seemed to enjoy having a companion to chatter away the time. Perhaps if he did wish to make a kind of home for himself around the village...

"Ergo, " the light Constellation spoke slowly, softly; "when next you journey off, I mean, if you journey off, I am certainly not saying leave or anything; I just... I mean, if you want companionship when next you travel---would you, um, would you consider my company?"

Zahara barely managed to keep the strained look from her face. She couldn't help by internally roll her eyes. She was slowly overcoming her shyness, but apparently, she still had a way to go. Sighing, she stopped; stopped moving and stopped thinking so hard, simply speaking her thoughts... it always seemed to work better for her.

"I just admire the way you see the world. I think traveling with you would be interesting and... it is hard to wander alone all the time, is it not?"

One final click of his sandals on a gnarled root punctuated Ergo's final step, for Zahara had posed an important question, one that was too serious for the light-hearted palaver they'd been having. And as he assumed, Zahara was standing a few paces behind him, face downturned, hands clenched at her sides, the expression on her face serious. Motes of light fluttered away from her like so many flakes of dust in the breeze, and time seemed to slow for him, that moment stretching into a still-life painting, two people about to bring their worlds together.

No use in just staring, though, and Ergo turned, pacing back to Zahara. Standing face to face with her, the wanderer of every road made his decision. "You look like you doubted the answer. I think you've known me long enough to understand that I couldn't say no to someone who asks nice like you."

Holding out his hand, Ergo's grin nearly split his face. "If you're sure, than you're more than welcome to come with me. I'd be honored to have you along for the ride. And as long as you're game, we'll see all there is to see. How's that sound? Because it sounds like the beginning of a beautiful relationship, to me."

((We can either call it here, cuz I've got out all I think I need, or you can put in one more post before we start planning our FABALOS JURNEY))

Barely able to believe her ears, the tension drained out of Zahara's delicate frame as her gaze flew from the wanderer's sandals to his gleaming eyes. A shy smile appeared, slowly growing brighter and adding a sparkle to her eyes that almost hid the hesitance that constantly lingered in their teal depths. Reaching out, she slid her hand into the one the taller Constellation offered.

Her voice was a mere sigh. "I'm... game."
