Anna smiled and pulled away as well, her breath escaping her at not quite the proper rate at just this moment. Her smile was a tad shy, and she thought it should be a bit abashed, but when she discovered the absence of sheepishness all together, it only intensified her smile with a bit of pure joy.

Oh, sure, initially, she'd been quite embarrassed to hear the sound escaping from her throat. But really, it simply could not be helped. Damian knew how sensitive her neck was, and if he didn't, he needed to learn. By doing, preferably. Though she'd never admit such a thing without at least five glasses of watered-down fire whiskey.

She opened her mouth to say something, most likely some comment about how she'd some how, during the snogging, found her way into his lap again, when something abruptly fell on her head. She blinked, then muttered a profanity. "What the bloody--?" She glanced up above her, almost as if to glare at whatever caused the object to fall, when she registered just what the item was.

"A potion?"

Damian had noticed her subtle shift from next to him to into his lap, but exactly who was he to object. He actually enjoyed the subtle shift, but he wasn't about to admit so.

All of a sudden, the moment was spoiled by something landing on Anna's head. Picking it up, he watched as Anna looked up and cursed. Frankly, he probably would have done the same. Looking up, he saw a shelf of potions and books, floating by in mid-air. It hadn't been there before, but seemed to have hovered over them at that moment and lost one of the potion bottles sitting on top of it. The shelf continued on its way, without its lost potion.

Damian looked at the potion. There was nothing extraordinary about it. Just a regular glass vial with a cork on top. The liquid, a crimson color, seemed to show little movement.

"What do you think this potion is for?" He asked Anna. Depending on what it was, he would have loved to take a swig and find out, but then again, it could be a deadly poison.

A few years back, he would have taken a drink of it without hesitation, but now he had learned that some things are best left untouched.

Anna glared at the object, rubbing the spot on her head where it had struck her with soft, yet sure and quick fingers. She had half a mind to seize it from his grasp, chuck it against the wall, cast reparo, then accio, and do it a couple more dozen times. Or until she wasn't ticked off anymore. Whichever came first.

She gently pried his fingers open and took it, examining the crimson potion intently. She shook her head thoughtfully, attempting to discern what it was herself. Potions was not her best subject by any means, she nearly got an E on her O.W.L.S. year with it, in fact, but had managed to scrape up and O. Anyways, she wasn't exactly Severus Snape's prodigy.

She frowned at it in her thought, and, cautiously, she lifted the cork, wincing slightly at the rather loud sound that emitted from it. "That was odd." She murmured to no one in particular. A simple cork being withdrawn from a mere glass vial shouldn't have made a noise so loud. But since when has magic ever abided the laws of what "should or shouldn't" happen?

Still careful, she sniffed at it. Not two seconds had gone by when she jerked away from it in revulsion. "Mint," she hissed, feeling the urge to chuck it across the room again - though for an entirely different reason. She sniffed again, more cautious than before, a thought striking her. "Citrus... pine broom polish... and... Polyjuice Potion?" She studied it again, closer still, unsure of what explanation her brain has supplied.

"Here," she held it out for him, "you smell it." Maybe her suspicion was right. Maybe it was the opposite of Euphoria Elixir. Whatever the opposite was.

Damian smiled, amused, when Anna jerked the potion away from herself upon smelling it. Especially when she declared it to be "mint". Frankly, he would have thought it would take more to make her feel revolted than just simply mint.

When she handed it to him for his take on it, he took it and took in the odor. "Smells a bit like that, and maybe a bit of coffee." he said after a moment, unsure of the smell really. He had gotten an O in potions, but he really couldn't name any potion off the top of his head, though he could for the basic ones.

He took the cork from Anna and closed it. Once the potion was corked, he examined the bottle, looking for clues as to what it may have been. There was some writing on the side of the bottle, but it was so badly faded that it was unreadable.

"Know of any spells that could make that understandable?" he asked Anna jokingly as he handed her back the flask. He really was curious as to what it was, but then again, he could wait to find out.

Anna shook her head. "No," she told him, "but I think it might be the opposite of Amontetia. Or whatever it's called. The potion, you know?" She waved her hands wildly in order to further prove her point, but she only managed to make it more confusing. "With the smells..? And the ingredients...?" At the bewildered look on his face she sighed and tried again. "I can never remember what it's called. But you smell it, and you smell, supposedly, what you define to be the best scents in the world." She nodded to herself, now pleased with her explanation.

"You know," she began again, "I am very tempted to throw it against the wall and see what happens. We could always reparo the bottle. ... Or maybe I shouldn't, after all. If something were to blow up, well, it wouldn't be good." She stared at the flask a moment longer before standing up to her full five foot four height, placed it on a counter, and she sat back down near Damian.

For a moment, she felt there to be something of an awkward silence. But then, well, she decided that wasn't good. So she attempted to break it. "... Hi." Which, well, didn't really work that well at all. "Sodding hell!" She cursed. With that rather loud interjection, she collapsed on the floor with her arms folded across her chest, glaring at the ceiling.

Anna was certainly very odd sometimes.

Damian thought for a moment, trying to figure out what she was talking about. It hit him suddenly. "You mean Amortentia, the love potion." he said, musing. "It smells like the best scents in the world because that's supposedly what'll attract people."

He looked at the potion bottle again. "No, I don't think this is the opposite of a love potion, which I believe is a hate potion. I actually like the smell of coffee, though it's taste leaves a lot to be desired."

When Anna threatened to throw the bottle against the wall, Damian looked apprehensibly at her and gave a small chuckle. "Aside from the possibility of blowing the place up, how do you propose getting the potion back into the bottle. Reparo only fixes the bottle, but does nothing for the potion itself." He hoped that that would prevent Anna from throwing the bottle at the wall, which perhaps worked because she got up and placed the bottle on a counter instead.

It was quiet for a moment, but just a moment, though it still caused Anna to be a bit moody. Damian gave a good laugh when she folded her arms across her chest and glared. She looked just like a little girl who hadn't gotten a new doll that she wanted.

Anna peered up at him in her semi-awkward position, half-glaring at him. She stuck her tongue out at him and waved her hand at him. "Oh, be quiet, you." She reprimanded him; though soon after the words were out a smile broke out on her face.

Suddenly, inspiration seemed to strike. She sat up abruptly, her hair swinging, and grinned widely. She was to her feet in a flash, not bothering to offer him her hand this time. Her mind was far too busy racing with the possibilities. She'd finally thought of something to do. Still grinning madly, she began to pace up and down the room, apparently lost in her own thoughts. However, after a few moments in her own little world, she walked up to him again, suddenly impatient. She then paced quickly to the door. "Come on, Damian!" She shouted over her shoulder, grinning at him.

"We're going to the grounds!" She yelled at him when she heard his footsteps behind her. She hiked up two flights of stairs to the Gryffindor Common Room, gave the password to the Fat-Lady, and left the door open. "Accio broomstick!" She called into the hole, waiting as Damian did the same. Then she sped off again down the flights of stairs, arriving at the ground floor after ten or so minutes of fast-walking. "How does a friendly Quidditch game sound to you?" She asked him, placing her hands on her hips, quite the skill, seeing as she was holding the broom in her right hand. "We'll play with one of the spare quaffles," she instructed lightly. "We pass to one another, and the first one to drop it looses." She told him coolly, awaiting his response.

Through this whole bit of crazyness, Damian couldn't help but laugh. That's what he loved about Anna. She always had something planned. There was almost never a moment of just resting. Even when she was calm, she always needed to do something.

After retrieving his broom and following Anna downstairs to the outside, he agreed for a round of passing the Quaffle. It was good practice for both of them anyhow. How else were they supposed to keep their skills sharp for their matches against the other houses? Gryffindor just had to win the House Cup this year.
