Krys and Julie were feeling pretty good. They had spent the whole day chasing after spiders. They had to go through South Bottom to get where they were headed; the Hill for a nice little break at the rock. They broke over area and saw the yellow sheet of yellow.... the spiders were everywhere
Julie let out a piercing yell and hid immediately in Krys's hair.
Krys had jumped at the scream, it was so close to her sensitive ears! There was no doubt in her mind... the black walnut sprite was going to be arachnophobic after this....
The woman took a step forward... she definately did not have enough traps for them all. So... what to do... "I wonder if we can step on them..." Krys mumbled. She caught sight of the others as she walked forward, along the outskirts of the spider hoard, "Hey guys! Umm... what the **** do we do now?"

Lily looked back at the mob of spiders and sighed. "What to do..." She pondered to herself, pulling on her ears in frustration. Growling loudly, she faintly heard Krys's shout. "Yo Kyrs! We have no clue! At least I think we have no clue!" Lily turned back to the rest of the group and blinked, "We have no clue, right?" Toxic just sighed at the craziness of it all.

((sorry... my muse has left me and refuses to return... gonk ))
Taneko was absentmindly fiddling with her hair. She had thought that it was nice that there was one more mind to help with handling this problem... and it scared her, because usually she was a complete loner, and preferred to solve problems herself... maybe this whole plant program was changing her... she wasn't really sure what she felt about the change. With all those buzzing thought running through her head, she hardly even had capasity enough for thinking about the whole spider problem. This was a very life changing thing for her!
"No" she finally breathed "We have abseloutely no clue... we can only hope for the best now, because the spiders are getting too close for us to run away" she noted.

Krys blushed a little, "Anyone have environmental-friendly spider repellant? I could really use some right now."
Julie, still hiding as best he could in the woman's hair shivered and cursed his keeper, "This is no time for jokes!"

Toxic sighed slightly and shook about, but tried to hide it. She didn't liked this all. Still. And it wasn't getting any better! Lily on the other head was still trying to hold up a positive appearance, even if she wasn't just shaking in her boots but the whole boot was shaking. "Damn. I forgot him portable can," she chuckled some.

The wierd spider behavior was intriguing enough, but suddenly they all froze in place. Every single little spider just stopped moving. A high-pitched whining sound floated in on the air, quietly at first, and then getting louder.
And then the spiders began to shake. They quivered violently, waving their legs in confusion. Some of them rolled over onto their backs, flailing their legs in the air.
SPLUUUUURCH!
The group that had been surrounded by spiders found themselves suddenly plastered with slimy green and brown goop. The spiders however...seemed to be gone. Little bits of spider exoskeleton littered the goop. The spider menace had exploded before their very eyes. eek

Krys looked around, "Eeeeegh...." She tried to get all the goo off of herself. It was in her clothes, hair, nose, but thankfully not in her mouth. "What was that? Self-destructive spiders?"
Julie came out clean as a whistle. Since he was hiding in the woman's hair, the sprite was fully clean. The spiders were gone, and along with him his fear. Striding out, he surveyed the area with a grin, "YEAH! That's what they get for dealing with me!!!"
"Oh really?" Krys eyed Julie with an arched brow.
"Yeah, can touch this!"
"SPIDER!" the woman jumped.
"Where!?" Julie ran back under cover of Krys's green-soaked hair.
"Uh... huh...." Krys rolled her eyes and looked to everyone else, "Everyone okay? Not allergic to spider.... goo?"

Toxic sneezed violently and fell on her butt on top of Lily's head. "I might be..." She said in a stand voice, since her nose was currently clogged up. She was also all covered in spider goo.
Lily shook her arms violently trying to get the goo off her, "Eww... This is gross," she shouted in anger as she found the spider goo was... REALLY sticky. "Remind me to be even MORE afraid of spiders from now on."

Walking to Lily, Krys tried to wipe off some of the goo with no luck. "Afraid of what about them?" the woman asked with a snort, "the spider walking on you... or... exploding?"
She knew what she wanted: a shower. "I wonder if water would get this stuff off...." Krys looked around. Did they have a bath or showerroom somewhere around here.... there was the river.
Julie peaked out again. Upon seeing no more spiders -because they had all exploded, duh!- he crept out once more. He walked in the goo on Krys's shoulder with no problem. It was slippery, but he just worked on his balance. Seeing Toxic, he snerked. "Someone's diiiiirty!" he taunted.
Krys eyed him, "You know, I could easily get you full of goo...."
The black walnut sprite didn't believe her, but he didn't want to say anything to see if she was good on that threat or not.

Neko and Ari had been speaking in hushed tones back and forth after Neko's attempt to apologize. She was truly sorry that she had snapped at the tiny pink sprite she had come to love, and she was somehow trying to test the waters between them and try and re-establish a good relationship between them. She knew that she might have scared the sprite too much for a good relationship to ever emerge again, but she hoped that Ari would somehow understand. But for Ari to understand, she would have to explain things in further detail. And that was exactly what she was trying to do at present time.
All of a sudden there was a whining and Neko stopped mid-sentence. Both sprite and elf turned their attention to the spiders. They both watched with similar open-mouthed expressions as the spiders blew up, resulting in getting brown-green goo in their mouthes.
"Urgh! Disgusting!" Ari exclaimed as she spat out the goo, all negatively-loaded thoughts forgotten for now. Neko could do nothing but nod in return as she tried to empty her mouth from the horrid tasting spider-goo.
"Lets hope its not poisonous!" she replied. Turning around to the fellow sprites and owners she couldn't help but start giggling. They were a horrid looking bunch. After a few seconds, she couldn't hold back a full fledged attack of laughter taking over her body, making her shake so hard that Ari almost fell of her shoulder. She looked as if she wasn't far from rolling around on the ground, in tears, the way she was howling with laughter.
