This is a hilarious poem my sister made about her love of marching band and her desire to choose an instrument.

Confessions of a Band Groupie
My sister is in the marching band.
Til' next year, I can lend a hand.
Tons of my friends are in it too,
It makes me think what I should do.
The bass drum has an awesome beat,
But if I drop it, I'll hurt my feet.
Maybe trombone, that's a hit.
Yet trumpets will be rained in spit.
I could play oboe with much luck.
Wait, never mind, it sounds like a duck.
Too bad I'm not strong,
I could tote a tuba along.
If I'd known this would be so hard,
I should have joined Color Guard.

I like the poem! biggrin
Although...oboes and bassoons and doublereeds can't do marching band.
And colorguard can be actually pretty good, depending on the school.
But I commend your sister on making that for us. mrgreen

robertotpr Marching Band no Jutsu Lol. Color guard completely fails. why yes they do. one of my friends kept falling down during practice. it was hilarious. And the Poem was really funny Thats funny. there was this guard girl who used to drop her rifle during rehearsals but contests and games she catches it. The Poem is pretty neat! biggrin

Marching Band no Jutsu Lol. Color guard completely fails. its funny because today in the parent orientation for MB the coordinator said "color guard does not count as a PE credit, but it is CREATIVE DANCE" it was hilarious.... creative dance made me LMFAO xD

Color Guard is pretty cool. It doesnt Fail,though. My friend is joining and Im happy she's trying new things. whee
But yeah! Band is hard, but us awsome band peoples make it look easy. cool
