So I went to the festival yesterday and it was...rainy. We were cold and damp by the end of the day. We did get some nice pictures and heard the taiko and overall had fun, but it was such a wet day that we really didn't want to be outside. We left by about 2 and hopped on the subway back to Grand Central to find a hot meal. (There were no places to eat indoors at the garden so we decided to hunt elsewhere) Then we hopped on the next train home and were back by 6. It was a pretty exhausting day. But I did get a really pretty necklace!
For the others of you who went, tell us about it! Did you have fun? How wet did you get?

I didn't go because of the rain! I wanted to go really badly, but I didn't think it was worth getting sick over. I'm such a wimp...

Chloie: I know how that goes. I'm driving myself nuts with finals.
Sakura: It actually wasn't too bad. We didn't manage to catch anything yucky. My boyfriend made it out without anything and his immune system is practically nonexistent.

I think that this would be a bad time for me to point out that getting caught in the rain doesn't necessarily make you more susceptible to getting ill. Rather, it's if you have a weakened immune system and if you don't take care of it. >3< I believe that Old Wives' Tale had something to do with pneumonia, actually. If you have pneumonia, don't go out in the rain. You'll get sicker. xD Just in case you guys like walking around in the rain with pneumonia... lol

Actually, there is some truth behind the idea that being cold can give you a cold. Cold lowers your immune system making you more susceptible to germs. This is why you're more likely to get ill in the winter as opposed to the summer.
