Please note! This event is only open to the three Lunar females who were nominated earlier and accepted their nomination. Gift of the Moon After moving away from the main group that was discussing the upcoming war, Neti settled down in a patch of grass not too far from the hatching barn. She waited for the others to speak and arrive, silent and looking blindly forward. Challenge One!Roleplay your lunar's arrival, and include OOC in brackets whether they will be competing through roleplay or through raffle. She couldn't quite describe it, but the faint song that could be heard distracted her from much else. Juniper had hesitated slightly when she and Coriolis had reached the area where she had felt Zen leave. But that melodic sound, it called to her even more strongly. She was so close! Her anxiety dying away, she darted forward, past Cory as she felt his surprise, and turned a corner.
The song called stronger and stronger until it died away at once. June halted in her tracks before straightening with confusion. She looked around her surroundings and stiffened with shock when she saw the rather large Lunar female sitting on the grass silently.
Curious as to where the song had come from and for what reason, June took a few nervous steps forward before calming down slightly and regaining her usual composure.
Is the song that called me here from you? she asked, suddenly shy again in the face of such a large Kyn. Not to mention the calm confidence that seemed to radiate from the Lunar.

Origin stopped in the forest, eyes closed tightly and her entire body shaking. She didn't know why she left the den, couldn't remember what had compelled her. All she could dwell on was that she was alone, she did not know where she was, and perhaps worst of all, Zephyr, her beloved big brother, was not by her side. All in all, Oreo was a nervous wreck.
But then there was that song. She suddenly remembered that song, that soft melody that called to her very being. That's why she was here, something summoned her, in such a way she could not resist. It promised her something- what she wasn't sure, but it sang to her, and she knew she had to answer, had to find the singer.
Oreo found herself running through the forest again. She who was less skilled than her brothers and sisters stumbled over the undergrowth, tripped over fallen branches, and accumulated many scratches. But she was not lost, because somehow, that song guided her. She did not know if she still hears the song, or if it simply just lingered inside her, but it was guiding her, showing her the way.
And suddenly, she stopped, stumbling over her own paws, she nearly fell forward into the dirt. She caught herself though, and managed to still just before she broke through the cover of the underbrush. Oreo considered moving forward and showing herself, but then she noticed another Luar arriving. It was a dark striped Lunar, and Oreo recognized her as Juniper from Aezhenn Chalm.
The familiarity did nothing to help Oreo's nerves though, and the agitated lunar female stayed where she was, claws sunk into the earth and once again on the verge of an emotional breakdown as the calming effects of that song faded away again.
Her eyes were then drawn to the large -very large!- Lunar female that sat calmly on the grass. Oreo stared at the large kyn, mesmerized, and suddenly realized that she was it- she was the source of the song that had called her.
Oreo stayed there though, in the underbrush, scared to reveal herself. But something tugged at her heart, telling her to go and reveal herself before Neti. Her timid, easily frightened nature won out in the end and rooted her to the spot, and she stayed there, silently watching.

Falke padded daintily out of the trees, her ears pricked upward as she followed the haunting song. She stood high on a cliff overlooking the ranch and sat down, lifting her head to the moon and closing her eyes. No sound rang forth, but Falke was nonetheless compelled to mutely howl before she leaped into space and took off, leaping down the rocky slope.
She bolted over the grass and slid down to crawl under the fence on her belly before dragging herself up and shaking vigorously. After composing herself, she trotted around the corner and approached Neti, her head bent low in deference.
... Ohgodstheitch. Her leg twitched as she fought the urge to scratch at a pesky itch. Would Neti even know? Maybe if-- no, no do not--
She plopped down on her butt before realizing it and her back paw began to smack satisfyingly against her neck and ear, over and over. Her tongue lolled out as she scratched, and then she felt the itch move and rolled onto her back, squirming about frantically to get at the itch between her dorsal spikes!
She paused quite suddenly and for a long moment just lay there before rolling over and settling her head on the ground, ears flat to her head with embarrassment.
[Hm... Raffle.]

Neti smiled faintly at Juniper's question, nodding her head. "Yes, it was my song." She returned to silence, ears pricking and twitching at sounds that not even the Lunars before her could here. She waited until everyone was gathered.
Falke's noisy escapades made her smile again, and once the Lunar had settled again, she lifted her nose to the sky and sang a few chords to another deeply moving song. Neti's voice in song, however, seemed always sad.
"I am glad that you have come, but unfortunately I only have two pieces of moonlight to offer to you three." Her tail flicked, very faintly, one ear canting back before righting again. Neti could definitely hear something that they couldn't.
"Origin, I am sure your voice is beautiful, but you need time before you can call to the heavens. Please, return to the group and see if you can help with preparations there." She paused, briefly, not looking in particular at anyone. "Falke, although you have no voice, I want you to join our ranks." She snorted, heavily, and the air caused something originally unseen to glint in the sunlight. It fell to the ground, a sparkling stone, and Neti nosed it towards Falke. "Please, take this and return with Origin. We will all show you how to use them later."
Neti turned to the remaining Lunar, actually turning to her though she couldn't see, and smiled. "Juniper, I want to hear your song. All Lunars sing, for one reason or another. Let me hear yours, and then tell me why you sing."

Juniper shifted her stance slightly, unsure of what Neti was asking of her. All Lunars sing...? But she didn't know any songs... Her ear twitched slightly when she remembered an old melody, so old that it was almost lost in her mind. A young pup struggling to fall asleep and a gentle voice humming softly.
Without meaning to, June sang a few notes out loud before clamping her mouth shut in surprise. That... Slightly embarassed, June started anew with... her song. Not the melody that had been forgotten.
Her voice was soft and shy at first, but as she sang, June found some strength in her voice. The notes were like a hill, ranging from low to high. Her melody was smooth and gentle, like a lullaby, but not the heart-wrenching chords that Neti had sang.
She thought of Ari, who, despite all her craziness, had always encouraged her. She had told June all she knew about tending to gardens and growing new plant life. She thought of Zen, even though he wasn't very chatty, always watched over them to make sure they were safe. She thought of Mikayl, who was the closest she had to a brother. He was protective to the point of being overbearing sometimes.
Coriolis, he was so different. He wanted her to be safe, but not in a way that would restrict her freedom. He actually seemed interested in what she did with her magic to help the garden, and his art was so beautiful. Her song became more jumpy, almost as though dancing to an invisible fire.
The song trickled to a stop, growing softer and softer until it was gone. June looked shyly towards the Elder before murmuring two simple words, "My family."

Neti listened intently, ears swiveling as if following each note as it rose towards the heavens. She was silent long after Juniper's song was over, then finally nodded.
"That is a good reason to sing. I think you have earned this stone." She nosed the last of the shards towards the lunar female, smiling. "Now, let us return to the group." Neti got to her feet and shook out her thick coat before walking off, slowly, but steadily.
