RULES & IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Penalties
Those found to be violating any of these rules and guidelines will be warned. The second time will result in the member being warned by the Guild Captain or Guild Vice Captains. The third violation will result in a ban. Those found to be returning to the guild will be permanently banned. Any characters of the player will be banned and not let back in. General RulesFollow all Gaia Rules, Guidelines and Standards of Behavior. Links to those are provided above.
No one is a main character from the anime or manga.
This is a PG-13 guild; there are minors present and active here, so keep that in mind.
Squad Captains are the final authority in their squads. Race Leaders have the final say in their forums. All other disputes will be settled by the Guild Captain or Guild Vice Captains. All squads have different rules and specialties. Current Guild Officers have the final say in any dispute. Any questions about the rules, any disputes with the rules, any questions about your character should be directed to a Squad Captain first, or a race leader for non-shinigami.
God-Modding is a bannable offense. You get one warning. Auto-hitting may be allowed only when a high-ranking character is training a character significantly weaker than them, and even then only with permission. Players found to be breaking the rules in a very blatant way will be banned without warning. It will not matter if your account was hacked or you were going crazy. If you know a guild mate in real life, do not give out any details of them, not their name, not their home location, not their school, nothing, without expressed permission. This is a bannable offense with no warning.
This is a PG-13 guild; there are minors present and active here, so keep that in mind.
Before you are allowed to roleplay, you must first have a character profile completely worked out and approved, and have applied to a Squad. Each squad is independent of each other unless there is a guild-wide plot, then each squad is expected to cooperate with one other to further and resolve that guild plot.
Players who will be away from the Seireitei for an extended period of time should let someone know, preferably the Captain of their Squad. Players gone after posting such notification will not lose anything. Players who are missing for an extended period without any kind of notification will be considered to have resigned from the Guild, and anything they have can and will be given to others to play.
"Squad Hopping" is frowned upon. If you wish to change squads for some reason, you must secure the permission of your current Squad Captain, the Squad Captain of the squad you wish to transfer to, you must state a good reason why you wish to transfer squads. All requests will be considered, not all requests will be granted.
Any secondary characters should only be played on mule accounts. This is to avoid confusion when a player posts as to which character is doing the actions stated.
If you wish to enact a specific ‘plot’ for your character or a group of characters, have an outline handy of what will happen. This is to avoid confusion and to help to keep things fair. Everyone likes to be the hero of their own story, but if it interferes with other players without their permission, problems will arise. Clear any plots with crew before play begins.

Restrictions on Powers and Abilities Daven Moto Players found to be attempting to circumvent the restrictions on Shikai/Bankai/Kidou by the use of anything (items, animal powers, Squad 12 experiments, etc.) will be warned once, then banned. Those found to be making up powers in the heat of battle then adding it to their profiles will be warned about this action ONCE. Further actions of the same nature will result in a ban. Keep in mind that just because you have trained for something on your own does not mean you have obtained that power. All training for "Special Skills" (ie. Shunpo, Shikai, etc.,) has to be approved by your Squad/Race Leader. New guild members start with an asauchi (zanpakutou that has not acquired shikai or bankai), and training in Kidou eleven and below (included in the profile skeleton). You will be allowed one ‘specialty’ kidou from either hadou OR bakudou, up to and including Hadou 31 or Bakudou 26. No other powers or abilities are allowed initially save basic abilities in hakuda, and other martial training you would have received at the academy. Through training, and good literacy, a person may further advance their powers to gain more kidou, the ability to stand on air, and other abilities such as shunpo, and shikai. Until you have acquired shikai, your sealed state must be a plain katana. After shikai, the sealed state may be whatever you wish, provided it does not have powers in the sealed form. Shunpo is a restricted ability that requires approval from your captain. Approval is on a case-by-case basis, and generally is only given for those individuals have been in the guild for an extended amount of time, and are extremely literate. Restrictions on shikai and bankai are detailed below. For any ability that you do not start with, you must train for. Unseated members may not learn kidou higher than forty, except where approval is given. Kidou above seventy must be approved by the character's captain, a GVC, or the GC, unless that character is Vice Captain in rank or higher. Approval for kidou above seventy will only be given to Captains, except where GVCs or the GC make an exception. Any ability you have listed on your profile is subject to inspection. Be prepared to provide a training thread at any time. Any ability that you use that is not listed on your profile is considered to be a god-mod or powerplaying, and may result in banning. Pro tip: add a post to your profile which contains links to your training for ease of access. Special abilities (unique Kidou-based abilities, special attacks, and so on) are able to be developed in the play of the character, but they need to be approved by the Guild Captain or Guild Vice Captains as well as your captain.

Restrictions on Shikai
No one starts with shikai. Once you have been active in the guild for a period of two-months, you are eligible for shikai training by either your Captain or another qualified individual. On a case-by-case basis, should a person prove themselves exceptional, they may be granted shikai training before the two-month period.
The abilities of your shikai are entirely up to your imagination, but they must follow certain rules. Namely, shikai must be very limited, as it is a partial release. For comparison, it needs to be 1/5th to 1/10th the power of the bankai. The number of shikai attacks is not as important as their functions, as shikai must not be as powerful as a bankai in any sense of the word. All zanpakutou abilities must be approved by a profile-checker. The profile checker has final say on this profile, overruling other crew members unless there is a legitimate grievance.

Restrictions on Bankai
While bankai is not limited to Captains and Vice Captains, very few people will get to the point that they may acquire it. Do not come into the guild expecting bankai to come easily, and do not ask for it until you have been active for a minimum of four months, preferably six or more. Even at that point, the average time for someone to wait for bankai tends to be over one year.
Bankai powers are five to ten times stronger than the shikai release, which means that there is a very large window of opportunity for creating a god-mod. You should be taking this into account when creating shikai, as it's strength will determine whether or not your profile is approved in many cases. All bankai training must be approved by the Guild Captain, or two Guild Vice Captain's, as well as the Captain of the shinigami in question's squad. Proof must be shown as to why the person is deserving of bankai.
Anyone who is training for Bankai MUST have their Bankai power completely worked out as to what it does, how it operates, the play and combat effects, problems and weaknesses. This must be turned in to the Squad Captain who will use it as part of the recommendation process before training begins. Additional powers may be developed off this basic power "template" at later points during roleplay, but all powers and abilities must be consistent and relative to the Shikai power of the character.
Only in extraordinary circumstances will a person lower than Vice Captain seat acquire bankai, and those are on a case-by-case basis.

Kidou Restrictions Kidou LibraryThe list of current kidou is located in the fifth division library. This list updates with the manga. As stated above, everyone already has training in kido below ten, and one specialty up to Hadou 26 or Bakudou 31. Anything higher than that can only be taught by authorized trainers. New members are restricted to learning kidou below forty. Seated active members are allowed to be trained kidous up to fifty unless recommended for more training by the fifth division captain, or one of the Guild heads. Squad Captains and Squad Vice Captains are eligible to learn any kidou listed. In order for a person to be qualified to teach kidou, the following must be apply. A.) For kidou below forty: Said trainer must have full knowledge of the kidou being taught, as well as at least three others above ten. B.) For kidou below sixty: Said trainer must have full knowledge of the kidou being taught, as well as at least five others above ten. C.) For kidou numbered sixty and above: Said trainer must have full knowledge of all kidou below sixty, as well as full knowledge of the kidou being taught. Selection of New Captains
In nearly every situation, Captain's are elected by the crew, who nominate deserving candidates and then vote based on those nominations. The only exception to this is when a challenge is issued, but those are few and far between. Other methods may be employed to appoint new captains at the discretion of the crew.
In all cases, the legitimacy of a challenge is to be determined by the GVCs and GC, who may declare the challenger unfit if they do not meet the criteria for crew status. Which are:
1.) Excellent ethics out of character. 2.) Excellent role-playing skill. 3.) Exceptional attitude.
A Captain's challenge is in combat form, which will take place in the squad of the challenged captain. At least one of the three Guild Vice Captain's must observe this fight, although the Guild Captain may suffice. In addition, there will be two other judges who may not have any ties to the challenger's or the challenged's squad. Once the fight has been finished, the judges discuss the matter privately, and vote on the winner. Any ties will be decided by the Guild Owner/Captain, or the GVCs if the Guild Owner/Captain is one of those that caused the tie.
Any selection for a Captain that goes for longer than a month for various reasons is automatically abolished and the process begins again. This allows for a timely selection as well as understanding about real life of the players.
Any Squad Captain or Squad Vice Captain who for some reason loses their position will be allowed to keep any skills they trained in, including Shunpo and Bankai as long as they play the same character. If the player makes a new character, then they have to start over in training as usual.
Vice Captains are appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the Squad Captain only, although they may be denied eligibility by the crew.

Rules for a Captain's Challenge
1. Anyone can challenge for a Captain Level position. I mean that literally, ANYONE can challenge for any Captain's spot.
2. A challenge must be answered in all cases, except where the challenger has been in the guild for a period of less than four months, or has not acquired shikai. Exceptional circumstance may be cause for exception from this rule.
3. Once the challenge is accepted, it will be acknowledged by a Guild Vice Captain or the Guild Captain.
4. At that point, the two combatants will negotiate the terms. The terms to be negotiated are these: a. Use of Bankai b. Use of Shikai c. Use of Kidou d. Use of squad powers e. Use of special character powers f. Use of character special attacks g. Post limit (if not specified, a post limit of 25 posts each will be enforced) h. Any other relevant points
5. Once those are agreed to by both parties, the person who acknowledged the challenge in Step 3 is given the list of terms. They will post these and be the "referee" for the fight. It will be their decision to call foul on posts, whether or not something can be done in character and so on.
6. The same referee will appoint three people to act as judges. They will not inform anyone, not even the other judges who the judges are. These judges have the duty to read the challenge and grade it on who they think did a better job roleplaying and writing. They can only select one person. When they have made their decision they will PM their judgment to the referee and the referee will announce the results. None of the judges may have ties to either participant.
7. If there is a challenge to that decision, it will be posted in the Crew Forum as to how the votes went and who voted how. If necessary, the original PMs will be posted and the Judges will be asked to forward copies of their votes to the GVC or GC. In any case, the person who receives these copies of PMs will not be the referee.
Please note that it is not necessary for the challenger to have bankai. Raw power and who kills whom is not the issue. This is all based on the best roleplayer and writer. ANYONE in the guild can be chosen as a Judge.

GuidelinesThese are some small things to remember to help you on your way. Don't be afraid to ask questions or voice concerns. If you have or see a problem, it can't be addressed unless the crew knows about it.
Literacy is tantamount to skill. But that does not mean that it is the only factor that determines power. Do not assume that you are more powerful than anyone just because you are more literate. Although the above is true, do consider that the illiterate will always be treated as weaker than the literate. "Illiterate" doesn't mean "Less Literate," but rather a lack of literacy altogether. Warnings may be issued for poor grammar and bad skills in typing. Please pay attention to how you write. We don't want to have to eject someone from the guild for using 1337 speak.
If you have a guild that you want others here to know about, PM the Guild Mule or the Guild Owner with the information and we will work on Affiliate status. DO NOT advertise it in the main forum, especially if it is another Bleach guild.
Be respectful of all other players, regardless of skill level or rank. Please see the Code of Conduct for more details.
