oh em jyu D Girl o.O i live in israel but i have absulutly no idea about what a shul is 0.0 well is that the pre-bat-mitzva stuff???? well... i actually did nothing before i was so called bat mitzvahed.... wow i feel really strange! we just invites a whole lot of people to our house and decoreated the yard like a restorant (whoooo haaaard work... took 6 hours) and then ig ot lots of pwesents and thats it ... 0.0... in my suround only boys go to the sinagugue,,, then the girls sit on the upper sits and through candies at them... which is totally fun... the whole tfila is really boring and all the girls, who can bearl hear somthing because they are uo or because the kertains are closed are all waiting for the girl with the candies to come and we try to hit him as hard and as many times as possible!!! we somtimes really damaged them! once my frind too some toffee's chew it, then made thrm a ball and threw it at the bar mitzvahed,,, so loling,,, xDDDDDDD well,,, i realy like this guild~ Welcome! We've got quite a few Israeli members here, so I hope you feel right at home. :3 You're lucky you get to throw candies at bar and bat mitzvahs at your temple... they outlawed it at our shul because the rabbi kept getting hurt. crying lol... now i get what a shul is... xd and... i will feel at home... this guild make me smile >.< the rabby deserves it... i dont like them at all... i use to make fun of them at the bar mitzvah's.......... though i passed 13 already, no more boys i know and bar mitzvahed so... no more candies in the near future T___T

D Girl lol... now i get what a shul is... xd and... i will feel at home... this guild make me smile >.< the rabby deserves it... i dont like them at all... i use to make fun of them at the bar mitzvah's.......... though i passed 13 already, no more boys i know and bar mitzvahed so... no more candies in the near future T___T *le tangent* I met a really nice rabbi in Greenwich Village once who tried to get us to take home an old turntable and stuff whee The temple there was really cool too, nestled right in with the lovely appartments in there. I wanna live there so bad!!

My rabbi's a real mean guy, but when we host our CLAL rabbis they're awesome. We had the first gay orthodox rabbi a few months ago, and he was amazing.

Holyshitomg. Well, where I'm from it's expensive too... It's stil lsomething I'd love to do though. My cousins live in Manhattan. I go visit some of them a lot up there. Granted, they're mutli-billionaires, but... xD; Jewish jazz! One of my Hebrew school teachers is always talking about that. >.>;; A 26 degrees exists?!

My rabbi's a real mean guy, but when we host our CLAL rabbis they're awesome. We had the first gay orthodox rabbi a few months ago, and he was amazing. ...There's a gay orthodox rabbi? Really? No way! That's so freakin weird, I would never see that happening. Maybe a gay reform rabbi, but orthodox?! My rabbi's pretty cool. He's teaching my confirmation class this semester- we're studying the portrayl of Jews in film. First movies was Charlie Chaplin's 'The Great Dictator'. We all enjoy his class. And he jokes about how I need to warn him before I have a driving lesson since I live near his house >_<

Kiashana ...There's a gay orthodox rabbi? Really? No way! That's so freakin weird, I would never see that happening. Maybe a gay reform rabbi, but orthodox?! Yeah, Rabbi Steven Greenberg. Extremely wise man.
