How did you end up with that job? I'd love to do something similar. Not (just) for the freebies, but because the work itself sounds fun.
(Oh, and that's her name? Jessica Rabbit? I've always just referred to her as "That-one-ginger-from-Looney-Toons".)

bibblesBunn So, I am also making this weapon for my friends costume, I am working on the steam pumping gizmo to pump steam out of the barrels.
That is looking fantastic! I can't wait to see the finished product! Also looking forward to what you come up with, with all of you're awesome doodads.

I don't think Jessica Rabbit was ever on looney toons。She's from the movie ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’。

I like the creativity in this thread!
bibblesBunn, that PVC-based, arm-mounted gatling gun looks promising, except that there's that handle attached to the top two barrels. I realize it's great for stability, but it's a glaring design flaw, as those "barrels" really should be able to freely rotate. My suggestion to improve that (if it's not too late) is to remove the little handle, and instead fashion a hand grip to the right side of the base of the aluminum bit, so that you can have the gun on your left arm, and then grip the hand grip with your right hand. Another option is some sort of shoulder piece with a strap or chain of sorts that could lock into place and provide better support. Just a thought, and even then it's only good advice if you haven't completed the thing yet (to a point of not wanting to do anything more to it out of fear of ruining it).

Keith Valken Lionheart I see Jessica Rabbit on the background! So, is it shooting smoke or actual steam?
And the steam will be from Dry Ice. So, yes, Steam. 3nodding

I must say, those are great ideas, But that handle is not atached to the pvc, I put in a piece of thin wood and drilled it into that. The wood is held on by those metal rings. I wanted it to rotate, my origonal idea invovled a Dremel, but turns out PVC is way to heavy, so I opted for the steam in the barrels instead. 3nodding
Also, We dont know if this will be a arm mounted gun, or a two handed weopon, I may use that shoulder strap idea, because it plays off of a idea I already have biggrin

Glad you liked the ideas, but I'm not exactly sure how your handle is attached and all that. I mentioned rotation because it would take a lot of pseudo-science to make it plausible even my steampunk means that a gatling gun doesn't rotate and that steam power is enough to shoot a projectile with practical distance and force... Unless I'm completely misunderstanding your design and it's actually some sort of gun that shoots steam instead of projectiles.
I did an MS paint mockup of my idea, and if I can get some cheap, thin sheet metal and hammer it into shape, I might just do that, and see if I can get some sort of rudimentary functional chest crank prototype made.
If you use my chest-crank-arm-chain idea, I hope you don't mind if I borrow the dry-ice-steam idea and have a little steam spout on the side.

I have to say, you have a great base going.
Spraypaint all the stuff really well and put it all together well and you have a GREAT steamy outfit.
My outfit is...clothing more than accessories and gadgets...but I am just starting. x.x
