I'm going to be saving to buy a Cobalt Flux perhaps. I borrowed Mint's and I really enjoyed the pad. But that's after I pay this $185 speeding ticket. > sad Edit: I've actually been building my own pad. There are no sensors yet, for I do not know how to build them yet. Other than that, the pad is complete. I personally fabricated all of the parts, except the corner braces. everything else was made from scratch. Hoping to get this project completed soon, so I can start playing at home again. I've probably spent $60 on the pad so far. I got everything from Home Depot.

Easier said than done, since I live in the (U.S.) state with the highest unemoployment rate.
....but I'm trying.

D: Well, ya know what they say. Home depot has EVERYTHING. Actually I purchased the plexiglass for the arrows and cut them to size myself. The graphics are cutouts from an old soft pad that broke like 50 years ago.

Kaihou XIII falling stars I agree. Metal pad is the way to go. No you don't! Your just saying that because I said it... ninja What pad do you have anyway? i have the kind with styrofoam in it, and you can feel where the arrows are, and it's slide resistant. anyway, i don't have the money for a metal pad, and we live in a trailer and everytime i hit a few jump arrows, you can feel it across the house. would it add to that?

That's pretty crazy nice looking for a custom pad. Though I haven't seen many period. I wouldn't mind venturing down that path and making my own sometime soon.

Yeah, it's a good way to go if you are short on money. I expect to complete this pad with less than $50.
What I used for everything: 1. 12x12" slices of 1" thick plywood. (5 of them. 2. 16 2" corner brackets. 3. Steel screws, 3 inches long each. 4. 12x12" slices of 1/4" plexiglass. (4 of them.) 5. stainless steel sheets cut to 13x13", screwed on top of plywood peices, then I hammered the edges of the metal around the wood using a rubber mallet. Used 1" thick plywood for the base. And arrow graphics salvaged from a broken softpad.
Now to construct sensors, and see how it goes. (looking for instructions on how to do this) lol...

I hear you guys talking that metal is much better ,i dont think so but it may be because i havent tried 1 that wasnt in the movies. my feet get stuck when i switch really quickly between arrows also i have a soft pad it works fine, its the new-er wii 1 (but the songs arent the BEST on the wii game) but it hasnt broken, i never slid or anything, its much easier for storage, and its much easier to get notes the u almost miss because u can slide your feet across it. there very hard to slip on it (unless wearing socks) but no has injured them selves unles they hit the coffe table thats near the mat
