I cant read the link you posted because my school is a twatass like that, but it makes me rofl rofl rofl rofl rofl that people who dont want to hear about religion come into a thread that says "something religion" in the title. I think they are all secretly happy you posted something religious so they can act all upset by it and try to act like they are better than that. SO CUTE.

Nope, I've just been waiting for an opportunity to tell them how I feel about Alpha calling homosexuals sinners in the gay marriage thread. ^___^

And Trisk, thank you. I'm ex-Jewish and my girlfriend is ex-Catholic, so it's not like we'd be getting married in your church anyway. Or her church. Or my synagogue. I want to get married in a private garden and keep my marriage private. Your church does not have to recognize my marriage as bound by God, but it's important to us that we can be meaningfully, legally bound to each other.

Sigh. Of course, we really love what your faithful did in California. Now we're going to have to honeymoon in Niagara Falls instead of San Francisco in order to get a marriage license. (Or Iowa. Or Vermont. But you guys ruined California.)

Its not nice to blame the mormons for CA. Unless they make up more than 50% of CAs voting age population, which I doubt.

@Ezzy: As I see it, so long as people want to live a meaningful, happy, self-fulfilling life within our country's borders then they deserve the rights ensured to them within the Bill-of-Rights. This makes me feel that our government needs to step back a little from micromanaging who can legally be with who because ultimately people will find way around the regulation. Unfortuantely, too much of this can be done illegally and often involves some danger. This danger can be physical, emotional, even social and allowing this danger counterproductive to what rights our Declaration of Independence and the many revisions to the Constitution gave us.

However, as long as our government is as centrist and manipulateable as it is, who's to say what can't be done by our government? Who's to say where our government's power ends? Who's to say it's ours? That void of "who" needs to be filled and that's how I understand why my church promoted the 8th, because it now has the right to become a new authority within the government.

Ugh. I'm so bleak. sweatdrop

@Nypmhie: On a less serious note. It almost sounds like you think it's okay for the majority to supress a minority? surprised

Bellecat
besides people going door to door, they're in my internets too (and not just ads on the sides of my internets....)

I mean, your sig was bothering me enough, and now you feel that you can be all jehovah-y about it and start witnessing to a guild you're in because you're all excited about something that may or may not be true

.... Christianity is derived from Judaism anyway
maybe you should try that

&btw every mini-group claims that they're "different"
they just want to collect followers...
like how scene kids think they're different even though they all dress the same
emos too

k this went nowhere
... except that you has angry beru on yer hands
it will probably do nothing tho

lolol
belle they aren't JEHOVAH WITNESSES.
THEY'RE MORMON.

anyway, it's nice that you feel strongly enough about this to tell us about it.
or something.

so um. triskkkk I bet discussing gay marriage as a political thing is not going to work well for Ezzy. Since for her it's very personal.

I'm not going to touch religion here.
I'm ******** up enough about it.

It just astounds me that our government is willing to restrict the right of holy union between two persons. sad

Really good explanation of what Mormonism is all about: [LINK]
