So the first season of Skip Beat officially ended. I'm personally hoping they have a second season. Most likely there will be one, but it'll definitely be a while. So in the meantime I thought everyone could discuss the first season as a whole. What they liked, what they didn't like, any other thoughts, etc.

I liked it when I found it that was the first thing I saw. I believe it was that I was able to connect to the her that made me love it. I do feel that the Anime didn't do the relaitionship right. The feel of the Ren were missing something the Manga did a better job bring it out. I did feel the ending was rushed a little.

What was nice was that the anime followed pretty closely with the manga storyline because sometimes anime adaptions end up a lot different then the manga. Only seeing it in color and animated had a very different feeling and appearance then the original. The animation wasn't bad but I think some of the characters don't look very good in the anime.. Like Ogata especially..
Ending wise, I sort of liked it because it left the door open for the second season and stayed with the original manga... Only I can see how it could be annoying too. crying Stopping in the middle of a big storyline.. I want to see the rest animated..
I'm hoping for a second season too. I'm just wondering when they would do a second season.. It could takes years maybe..

well, I watched the anime first and carried on with the manga from the chapter where the anime stopped
I liked the manga.. it's nice,, brings out emotions in a nice way.. but I have to say that I liked the anime better... maybe because it's much easier to watch rather than read xp (don't blame me... I read i on OM and they've got some cheap quality chapters... I didn't enjoy which I didn't enjoy THAT much ^^')
besides.. I guess colours and animations kinda brought life to the characters
however.. I HATED the anime ending... it was so OPEN.. they shoud have AT LEAST finished Ren's situation... I mean, if they're going to start a new season.. it would be hard to connect it to the first one ... ugh I don't know.. i just wish they had finished that part,, but again.. it would be bad ,,, I mean, all those things happening in one episode or two gonk .. that'll ruin the whole thing ^^'

If there was a second season it would be able to start on a very high note because of the place the first season stopped.. Though if the second season just suddenly picked up where the first season left off, might it seem a bit strange?
It would have been so long since the last episode..

I've been meaning to stop in here for a while now... sweatdrop
The ending seemed way too rushed to me. They really should have at least had Ren come back and blow everyone away with his Katsuki first.
As for a second season, I hope so. But I agree that picking it up again after that ending would be difficult...

Yah, the ending place was rather odd I thought. Iono, I get two different feelings from the manga versus the anime. I feel the manga did the sad/serious moments much better, but the anime really played up the hilarious actions. Either way I love both.
I do wonder how they'll continue the second season though. :/

so needs a second season cause there is Ren's acting test and the Vie Ghoul arc that would be awsome as anime episodes
