in two years I'v leaned to play about 15 instruments, I use terms like "the geektor scale", all of my friends are either in band, or are those random kids where just about all of their friends are in band (yeah, I'm in THAT group xD) one of my closest friends in the band teacher, I want to BE a band teacher, I made trebel clef earrings, I dressed up at a total band nerd for halloween (in other words, i made fake glasses, wore my usual cloths, and carried a clarinet around with me all day) I'm apparet of every band or musical group I find, and I've been told MANY times that if i don't stop talking about band all the time, and find othe rhobbies to discuss, that the person telling me this will just stop talking to me.

=D also, I'm appart of this guild.

In every other class I talk about band.
Getting new music is like having an orgasm. No, better.
I only like girls in band.
My mousepad has monkeys playing trumpets on it.
I have a tenor saxophone neck strap, and I don't even play any saxophone.
I wear said neck strap all the time.
I have a tenor sax method book, too.
I collect other section's music after a concert.

1. I marched with a world class drum and bugle corps all summer.
in my opinion that should be enough said, but i will coninue
2. I have been playing baritone for four years
3. I listen to classical, Phantom, and Les Mis constantly
4. I started the band club and, just recently, the pep band, at my school
5. I generaly get irritated with people who dis my fellow band geeks
6. I searched for a music related guild
7. I am always telling people who get it wrong: One, we are band geeks, not just any geek, and two, the term is GEEK, not nerd or anything else
8. I got so used to marching over the summer, that i no longer walk normally. i march. constantly
9. i can also play tuba, trumpet, trombone, flute, and soon, tenor drum

No, I believe the term in Band Nerd. You see, geeks are dorky, and that just isn't what we are. Nerds are obsessed. And I am very obsessed. I play flute, piccolo, alto sax, and a bit of percussion, (still learning). I can also play trumpet, but only without the mouthpiece (I'm told I'd make a great mellaphone player.) I could talk about ban for weeks on end, which is why my non-band friends tend to avoid the subject. My fellow band nerds get annoyed with my jabbering on occasion as well. Also, I've been craving a drill down for months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

-As most of you see, I always have a Tuba in my posts. x3
-I named my instruments.
-I play five instruments.
-My cellphone background is my Piccolo.
-My comp. desktop wallpaper is a Miyazawa Flute, my cursor is a Tuba, my icon for compaq is a trombone, and next to it, it says 'Band Geek'. xDD
-My aim icon is a Tuba, and the background is music notes. x3
-I can listen to classical music without getting bored. (I just listened to The Wild Westerns!, now listening to An American in Paris.)
-I wanted to cry (Tears of joy) when I got into Jazz Band. I was so happy.
-I tried playing the most awkward instruments in Jazz Band. I asked my BD if I could play Piccolo in it. xDD
-I always have A+ in band. x3 It's my best subject.
-I'm looking for a youth orchestra I can be in. :3
-I'm also looking for a Flute Choir (I want to play Piccolo in Flute choir.)
-Every month I go on ebay to look for cheap Alto Flutes. (Cheap ones only come once a month. ;~; And I'm not talking about the cheap ones that break, i'm talking cheap price, not quality.)
-I always talk about band, or ask my friend if she knows her scales. xD
-My BD put 'Excellent Musicianship' in my report card. User Image

-I want to be a middle school band director, hopefully in my school I'm in now.
-I think that people who restored An American in Paris, make it TOO FAST!! And too low for the lower instruments. ;~; Luckily the Tuba is loud.
-I only have crushes on boys who are in band.
-I wore the BRIGHTEST pants for band picture day, so I could see myself. xD
- I am 'famous' in band for playing Tuba. x3 (Whenever I have to tune, everyone is all "TUBA!!! O:")
- I have treble clef earrings.
-I still have summer band music and 6th grade concert band music. sweatdrop
-I cried when one of my trombones' broke.
-I had a spazz attack when I saw a trombone player in our health textbooks.
-On chatrooms, I normally listen to An American in Paris, so whenever the Tuba solo comes, I type in big letter, "TUBA SOLO!!!". People are normally creeped out. neutral
-I'm trying to put An American in Paris on my iPod. I have it on iTunes, but it's messed up. D:< (Both the song and the iTunes. D: The song only plays for five seconds, and it's normally 19 minutes.)
-I had a hamster named Mozart in fourth grade. I love Mozart. (Both of them are dead, sadly.)
-I have a purse that has instruments on it. :O This is it. Sexy, I know.
-I have a wallet that has music notes on it. <3
-I have a shirt that has instruments on it.
-I have my sexy summer band shirt, and I still wear it, no matter what weather or season. x3
-I turned in my 'On the Town' Ticket money ($80 worth.) the next day I got them. My BD was amazed. Same with T-shirt money. xD
-I ask my BD questions about being a BD.
-I hum all my favorite classical songs. (Oh lawd, you should see me when it comes to Raider's March. ._. Or Legend of the Alhambra.)
-I LOVE playing high notes on Flute (I can play up to high B#, fourth octave.) and Tuba (High Gb and higher? biggrin ).
-I make all the difficult stuff easy. :O
-I know how to eat a Tuba. rofl I would never eat Big Baby though. No wait. That's mean. ;~;
-I want somebody to finally make Tuba earrings. Or necklaces. <3
-I know what Sousa I want. xD (I want a fiberglass KING. <3)
-I can hear other people's part in my head. (My BD scolds me, I always play other people's parts by accident. My brain tells me so. neutral )
-I cherish my special part in TWW! even though it's hard.
-I was about to be a 'dead musician' for Halloween. xDD
-I counted all the dents in my Tuba. 40 DENTS. (Big Baby isn't the BEST brand. He's like worth 4k or less. (He's discontinued.))
-I used to have SOE (Standard of Excellence) music on my old iPod.
-Whenever a song finishes on Alfred Flash, I can imagine people clapping. O.O
-I get pissed when people call a recorder a Flute. D:<
-I found a WONDERFUL program called Brass Trainer. <3 ( I do intermediate level on Tuba. )
- I want to become a professional Flute player.
-Sometimes I worry what will happen to my instruments when I die. (I normally think of that stuff at night, which makes me sick.)
-I can play alot of trills on Flute + Piccolo. :3

-Almost all of my usernames on forums are music related. (Band Geek,Jazz Kid,To Coda.)
-I want to try out for a Philharmonic! :O

1. secton leasre as long as ive been in band, cause yes i practice that much.
2. I own my own sticks and sick bag and pad to take everywhere, even on vacation
3. band dominates 98% of my conversations.
4. I'm a member of this guild
5. I use marching steps to walk around.
6. Crab stepping is first nature when i need to go sideways.
7. My friend and I call out commands when walking in public places to turn.
8. Walk in step as much as i can notice im not.
9. I'm in 3 different bands.
10. I drive 2 hours away for a 30 minutes performance.
11. I wrote a book on being a percussionist for a school project.
12. Ive played with other high schools percusisons and went to their drum camps.

I tend to do that a lot here sweatdrop

1) played the clarinet for 5 years
2) enjoys putting on a uniform, no matter how uncomfortable
3) helping other people get dressed is no problem, guy or girl xd
4) marks time to ALL music
5) memorized music that i didn't need to
6) me and my bestest friend made first and second clarinet this year (as freshmen) out of 10 players
7) thinks the bucket hats are COOL
8 ) will shout "WOODWIND KICK BRASS" at random times
9) goes to band room whenever possible
10) has a bunch of band jokes and laughs at band humor
11) hangs out with "the band kids"
12) has all concert and marching pieces on ipod
13) listens to all of them...daily
14) still goes to her middle school's concerts...even though she doesn't go there anymore and it's half an hour by car xd
15) I look for music myself and don't bother to wait until something is assigned
16) is currently wearing her bright orange eighth grade band shirt
17) yesterday wore her bright yellow high school band shirt
18 ) tomorrow is going to wear her white 7th grade band shirt sweatdrop
19) once caught her finger in a clarinet lyre
20) i give random people hugs when i/we get superiors
21) i really really REALLY want to play the (quite beastly) contra alto bass clarinet
22) i'm trying to find time to do youth orchestra(to play violin in it tho)
23) Always has a 100 in band
24) i have an array of music themed attire
25) high notes are FUN
26) I'm doing marching band and not JUST for the PE credit
27) I will run two laps around the football field (no walking) just for band
28 ) I have DVDs of our marching band shows
29) My "band" album on myspace has wayyy more photos than all the other albums combined
30) If I have a sucky day, band practice always makes it better
31) I am VERY excited that my middle school band director is guest conducting for us next week whee

I'm such a geek.
-When I was 10 I could play almost all the high notes on a trumpet
-I'm always pumped for games and trips with the crew
-I can play any instrument I touch
-I have clothes with music notes on it
-All my best friends are in band
-I like alot of the guys in our band
-My teacher loves giving me solos
-She trusts me with all the other awesome instruments we have
-I always have an A
-I'm going to become a high school band director when I grow up

Let's see...

- I am always ecstatic to get a new instrument or supplies for my instrument.
- When I was a trombone, I would always stay after school to clean my trombone thoroughly.
- I'm protective of the bass drum at my school. [and every other instrument in the band.]
- I keep trying to see if I can get some songs we played in band on my iPod.
- I'm one of the few in my band class that plan on going onto band in high school. [I think I'm the only one.]
- 90% of the time I'm humming a song we are/have played in band.
- I won't shut up about band in general.
- I feel all superior when I wear my band uniform...

Prove I'm a band geek? No Problem. pirate
-Been playing Trombone for 3 years, first chair in everything
-4 out of my five days at school are spent w/ some band activity
-I constantly whistle band songs. from 3 years ago. O-o
-my friends and I fight over who can whistle/hum/sing parts of songs better
-Most of my friends are in band and first chairs.
-I decorate everything w/ band paraphernalia. ex. math binder, friends faces w/ sharpie
-We dis orchestra and chorus. * no offense anyone. ;D*
-My stories usually *at least the funny ones* start w/ "Well this one time at band....."
-I met my bf in band. *hugs* he's also brass, or else i might disown him. jk!
-I have my band director's phone number. O_o
-I'm already signed up for marching band. 7 months early.
