Qastor was amused by the attempt but at the same time it was all in vain, what the boy didnt notice was that Qastors chakra was indeed of the ice nature at heart. When he kicked at the boy chakra flowed freely due to his ice body and so he could use the passive ability chill at any time even on himself, in fact it was best used on himself in this stage as he was uneffected by it. Each kick held a foot covered in that chilly ice chakra and each counter punch coated Kirins hand in ice crystals further and further till he grabbed Qastors ankle and fully exposed himself to the chakra. His hands had been coated in a thin ice but when he grabbed Qastors ankle the ice thickened on that hand and started crawling up his arm,"Not your best move kid, tch." With them both linked he did a hand stand and literally flung Kirin over him lifting the boy with his leg and hammered him into the ground on the opposite side of Qastor he had stood. The kid would be beaten up pretty bad after that and if he used his fire to escape it would be too late, the ice was so thick he would likely only be separated earliest when he was slammed into the ground head first.

"Hah, guess that shook the old beast up, eh?" He had only used taijutsu and bukijutsu so far but that didnt seem to be doing quite the trick, he licked his lips and smirked. Genjutsu was in fashion, hah. He came back up in a taijutsu stance and waved his limber hands around a bit,"Watch the hands and maybe you wont black out." Then he dropped a flash bomb and after the flash total darkness, Kirin would be in complete black,"Oh sorry guess you did anyways, gwahahah!" It was a Genjutsu developed by the late Nidaime Hokage used to kill the opponents sight, it created impenetrable darkness all around and this was the third step.

"Well, guess we must postpone your test then, how about I follow you and observe you for your final test." He climbed out of the mirrors and swatted at the bird as he put his hand on Kirins head and took them to the gates.
