Silver Angel
Tania practically ran down to the pier, a cute little fisher's cap on her head and a life vest strapped on. "Fish~ fish~!" she sang, twirling around and flopping down on the wide pier.

Her brother, sister, and mother followed behind her, carrying bait, rods, and other gear, dressed in similar clothes.

"Look!" exclaimed Tania, pointing a little way off to a trio of fishers. "Isn't that Kit and Blade?"

Daniel, who had just set down the tackle box he'd been carrying, followed his sister's finger to where she was pointing. "Oh yeah," he agreed. "Let's go sit next to them!" He grabbed his tackle box and lugged it over to where his friends were fishing.

Or maybe not fishing. By the manner of speech coming from the lady who was with them, Silver and her children wouldn't be surprised if they'd already scared all the fish away.

Tahoi
As they watched, Tahoi fished a tire out of the lake and set it aside in a pile of junk. She cursed under her breath, kneading her forehead with her knuckles. Good Lord! How much trash could there be in one lake? She hated how people dumped trash in the lake, it irked her so much! She cast her line again and, a mere three minutes later, drew an old boot out of the water. "Bloody hell, what's with all this junk?!"

Two feet away, Kit and Blade were having troubles of their own. Blade, having gotten a bite, was reeling it in until the fish gave a surprisingly hard yank and sent him toppling into the water. "Wah! Crazy fish!"

"Hah! It got you! Haha--hey, Daniel!" Kit waved as the mouse boy dragged his box over. "Need help with that?" Kit asked, gesturing at the box. Next to him, Blade climbed out of the water, soaked.

"Hachoo!"

Silver Angel
"Sure I could use help!" Daniel squeaked in his boyish mousey voice, tilting the tackle box toward Kit.

Myrelis, on the other hand, though she was usually calm, collected, and sensible, found herself bursting into laughter as Blade was pulled into the water by the insistent fish, and doubling over with giggles as the elf boy pulled himself out of the lake.

Amused as well by the entire situation, Silver Angel brought out one of the towels she had brought for such emergencies as these. "I was going to say that you were scaring all the fishes away, but I guess this lovely piece of dripping bait proved me wrong!" She grinned, dropping the towel on Blade's head and rubbing the water out of his hair.

Tahoi
"Hup!" Kit lifted the part tilted towards him and helped Daniel carry it over where Danny wanted it to go.

Blade made a face at Myrelis. "It's not that funny..." He squeaked when something fuzzy dropped onto his head and over his eyes. He flapped his arms in panic before he realized that it was just a towel. He then turned faintly pink out of ebarassment and mumbled a sheepish thanks at Silver.

Tahoi grinned too, her bad mood vanishing. "Yes, well, I guess I was being pretty loud, huh?" She scratched her head sheepishly. She'd cursed in front of her kids...not good.

Silver Angel
"Hee... sorry!" Myrelis stifled her giggles for the sake of Blade's dignity and lifted the large picnic basket her mother had been holding, carrying it over to a spot with plenty of shade. She took the picnic blanket out and spread it out on the grass, tugging at its corners and patting at the wrinkles. "Maybe you should take a break from fishing," the elf girl called to Blade, taking a seat on the blanket and straightening her velvet maroon skirt. "I think after that big splash, the fish might be taking a break from you." She bit her lower lip to keep from giggling, but her grin was so wide she ended up hiding it behind one hand.

Sticking his tongue out from effort, Daniel carried the tackle box, with Kit's help, to an ideal spot on the pier. "That should be good!" he declared, carefully lowerng his half of the box to the planks. "Have you guys caught any big ones yet?"

Tahoi
"...Sure, I guess." He brought one hand up to ruffle his hair...and realized he was holding his fishing rod in it! How'd it get there? Hearing Myrelis's comment, he grinned in a sort of I'm-going-to-get-you way. He went over to the blanket and sat down on the grass next to it, setting his fishing rod aside. He then took a bit of grass and began to tickle her with it. Since she seems to like laughing so much...

Kit lowered his half of the box, saying, "Not really, no. Mum's been catching a lot of junk and me n' Blade only caught a couple guppies." As if to emphasize Kit's words, Tahoi lifted a tin can out of the water, tossing it onto the tire from earlier.

Silver Angel
Daniel lifted a hand and coughed discreetly behind it to avoid laughing. "Well uh... *cough* you guys... *cough* certainly um..." he paused and glanced at the pile "I mean, the fish will probably start biting a lot more now that you've um... *cough* cleaned up the lake... right?"

Tania shot her brother a look that said "watch it" and picked up the old can, carefully peeling the lid off and throwing it back on the pile. "These cans would make great places to keep worms if we run out of bait," she suggested to Kit. She shook the water out and off of the can, and filled it with a bit of dirt, adding a flower as a last touch. "There," she said, grinning. "Premium worm estate!"

Myrelis stared defiantly back at Blade as he approached, but she hadn't figured she'd succumb to his tickling so quickly. Probably all that laughing. She let out a yelp and pushed his fingers away, trying to squirm free from his hold.

Tahoi
"Right. You need a cough drop or something?" Kit grinned at Danny. Truth be told, he thought that their bad fishing was hilarious, but eh. He didn't think his mum would appreciate it if he laughed at her. He picked up a can. "That's a good idea, Tania. I betcha the worms'll like it."

Blade continued to tickle Myrelis. Say please~ x3

Silver Angel
Silver Angel started to sweat as she stared at the emerging vein in Tahoi's forehead. "Umm..." she said, quickly putting away the towel she had used to dry Blade's hair and grabbing a sandwich instead. "Maybe we should take a lunch break. You look a lot hungrier than the fish do right now." She waved the sandwich in front of her friend's face and gestured with her other hand to the picnic blanket in the cool, inviting shade.

Meanwhile, a certain elf girl was breathlessly squirming in that very same shade. Her laughter came in overlapping peals, and she reached her fingers out and poked hard in desperation, hoping that Blade was as ticklish as she was.

As Tania sprinkled more dirt into her can, Daniel knelt down, picked up a stick and began digging at the ground. "A worm house isn't much good without any worms in it," he said. "Let's see if we can find some!" He paused after a moment and looked up at Kit thoughtfully. "I heard that there's a kind of bird that makes noises against the ground with its wings. The worms think the vibrations are raindrops hitting the ground and come up for air. Do you think it would work if we tried that?"

Tahoi
Tahoi blinked at the sandwich. "Well..."

Guuurgle.

Tahoi turned faintly pink when her stomach growled. "Sure." She reeled in her (fishing line?) and stood up, stretching. Yeesh, now that she thought about it, how long had she been sitting down, anyway? Her foot fell asleep... She walked over to the shade, stretching as she went.

Blade started laughing too. (He was really just as ticklish as Myrelis.) He kept tickling her for a little longer, but eventually stopped in a fit of laughter. Eventually his laughing fit subsided and he calmed down enough to talk. "Ahhh, that was...that was a good laugh." Blade lay back, smiling. "That'll teach you to laugh at me," Blade said jokingly. This almost made him start laughing again, strangely enough. It seems that he hadn't really calmed down yet after all.

Kit squatted down next to Daniel and shrugged, poking the ground. "Yeah, I think it'll work." He started tapping the ground. "So, how do we do it? Should I go get some water?"

Silver Angel
Silver Angel laughed and carried the picnic basket over to the blanket laid out under the shade. "When at first you don't succeed, take a lunch break to eat a sandwich and make the fish jealous." After she had set the basket down, she waved over at the kids still by the pier. "Tania, Daniel, Kit!" she called. "Lunchtime! And don't forget to wash your hands!" She held up the small bottle of hand sanitizer she carried for trips like these.

Tania looked up and set the decorated tin can down on the ground, dusting her hands off, and started toward the picnic. "Coming, Mom!" Daniel dropped his digging stick and stood up, tugging on Kit's sleeve. "Come on, let's go eat first. Can't work on an empty stomach, right?" He grinned and patted his belly for emphasis.

Holding her stomach and still giggling breathlessly, Myrelis rolled over on her side in the grass and stuck her tongue out at Blade. "That'll teach you to tickle me!" She giggled again softly. "I don't think I can eat anything right now... I've laughed so much my stomach feels too sore!" She stuck her tongue out again, teasingly blaming Blade for not being able to eat the delicious lunch her mom had packed.

Tahoi
"Right." Kit grinned and followed them to the blanket. He was hungry, now that he thought about it. He hadn't really noticed until Silver Angel had mentioned lunch. He wondered what kind of food she had packed.

Blade stuck his tongue out at Myrelis, still laying down. "Aw, really? That's too bad." He sat up and poked her, smiling. "Are you sure about that though? I won't be held responsible it Kit's appetite accidentally makes your food disappear." Of course, Kit wouldn't really eat her share, not unless she said it was okay, but a little teasing hurt no one.

Tahoi squatted down by Blade and poked him in the forehead. "And what have you two been doing, eh? Telling jokes?"

Silver Angel
Squealing at the unexpected last poke, Myrelis rolled further away from Blade and sat up. "So that was your villainous plot! Trying to spoil my appetite so that you and Kit could take my share!" She reached her hand out and her mother put one of the sandwiches and a soda bottle in it. "Not today, my clever friend, for the sandwich is mine!" The elf girl giggled, settled the soda beside her on the blanket, and unwrapped her sandwich, taking a bite. "Mmmm... "

"Yay, sandwiches!" Tania cheered after she'd rubbed her hands down with hand sanitizer. She took her food and sat down next to her brother, who was clearly enjoying his own meal.

"Mmm... ham and cheese..." Daniel mumbled around his bite.

"Don't talk with your mouth full, Daniel," his sister scolded gently, wagging a finger at him. She gingerly took a bite of her own sandwich, purring happily as she savored the taste.

Silver Angel smiled and took a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and some grape soda out for herself. "I packed a little of everything, so even though I don't know what your favorite is, I might still have it. What would you like?" she asked Tahoi and her boys.

Tahoi
Blade laughed. "Darn! Caught red-handed."

At Silver's question, all three of them replied simultaneously (they didn't mean to, honest!), thier answers mingling and sounding a bit like "Tunapeanutbuttercheese." Which, roughly translated, seems to mean that Kit would like Tuna, Blade wanted peanut butter, and Tahoi preferred cheese. Coughing into her hand a bit sheepishly, Tahoi confirmed her choice, with Kit and Blade following suit.

Silver Angel
Laughing, Silver fished three sandwiches in plastic bags out of the basket and tossed them toward the people who had "ordered" them. "Just your luck today; everything's here. All we have left to drink is lemonade, though." She brought out a large thermos and several paper cups. "Help yourselves!" she encouraged her friends, smiling.
