kimi_the_turtle ok, well i just had sex for the first time on...lets see...friday, and it hurt like hell (excuse me) until late, then it went numb kinda. is that supposed to happen??? it's kinda creepy, really.....AND DON'T EVER USE A LATEX CONDOM!!! ( i broke out in hives) crying

As someone has already said, not everyone is allergic to latex. If you have a reaction to a latex condom, ask a doctor/pharmacist where you can get non-latex condoms. They might be more expensive, but they'll keep you from having a reaction. Same thing applies if you're allergic to a type of spermicide.

I had sex about three weeks ago it hurt a lot, I couldn't tell if I broke my hymen cause I was on my period....how gross is that.

Yeah, I had a quick question, and thought I'd put it here...
On breaking your hymen before sex, is it a good idea? I don't know if I still have mine, but I think I'd be aware if I broke it. But, yeah, anyways, I'm really scared about having it be painful the first time I have sex - should I go ahead and break it through masturbation one day, or try atleast? Should I go to my gynocologist and ask her to?
Just the thought of something tearing down below freaks me out.
crying Well I Accidently tore my hymen during mastubation 1 1/2 yrs b4 i had sex.... I honestly think itwas great.. for i didn't have to worry on my first time about the bleeding issue....

Ceelio Is there a way to tell if the hymen has been broken or not? I would guess you'd be able to tell by touch, or by looking at your privates in a mirror.

You would be able to tell if you knew what a hymen looked like. It's surprising how many girls don't. It a very thin membrane that covers part of your vaginal opening. I broke mine horseback riding. Wonderful, eh? I've been riding since I was 7, (a good 10 years), and around age... I don't know... 13? 14? Pop. I was like... what the hell?!?!?!?!? Hahaha... but it DID save me the pain of losing my virginity... no that I wasn't sore after that, mind you. wink

I wouldn't ever suggest getting a gyno/doctor to break a girl's hymen for her. neutral I meant the doctor/gyno would probably be able to tell whether or not the hymen had already been broken, not that they'd break it for her.

I broke mine wrestling. Not as in the WWF crap most people watch, but actual highschool wrestling.
I was in a match for a silver medal for my district, and this chick was freaking strong, and totally flexable.
So, she lunged for my leg, I moved it, and I slipped.
Right into the splits.
It felt sorta like a pop. Not all that painful. I kinda went into shock, and I knew instinctively what had just happened. Then I got pissed off. xD
My boyfriend says I looked like I'd seen an alien, then I went red in the face and beat the s**t out of her. xDDD
I still have the damn medal.
There was a little blood in the panties I was wearing, and when I went to get checked, sure enough. Nope. Pas de hymen.
You'd think I'd learn after I broke my kneecap in three, wrestling. sweatdrop

I always thought it was something up inside of you until I took a senior health- sex ed course. I learned a lot that year. I'd just also like to state that a GYN cannot tell how you broke your hymen unless they specialize in that specific topic. (Which there are a few- such as Pediatric GYNs for Molested little girls.) All they can tell is if it is broken or not. I broke mine on spider monkey bars. I fell off the tops one and hit a bottom one right onto the bottom one. I bleed a little and had a wonderful bruise that looked like a rug burn on the inside of my thight up to that area. Was't fun at all.
