Who else has had this happen?
You've gone to go empty one of you valve slides by either pulling it out or using a spit valve, and before it made it onto the floor or the sink (I know some people) Its ended up on your leg and soaked through?
This happened to me today and I share an instrument with two other people. And I'm the last one to use it during the day, so most of it wasn't my spit!! It was like a whole table spoon and it was gross.
And then my BD started making fun of me for freaking out!

It happens to me all the time. (Tuba.)
Once, my BD let me use the trombone he was using for summer band, and forgot to empty the spit valve. gonk

It happens to my friend quite a bit and she plays cornet, although when I have to play cornet in her brass band (grrrr I'm a trumpet player, I shouldn't be made to play one of them things) and I always seem to get it on my jeans..

one of the clarinetists tried a trumpet, and spit was spraying fromthe bell

ya that happens to me ALL THE TIME!!! lolz...that reminds me...
one time i was at a concert rehearsal, and another band was playing. well the guy in front of me (no one likes him) forgot his spit rag and asked first chair (im second chair) if he could use his spit rag. first chair was like "uh...okay...i guess". so he used it. when he was done, he gave it back to first chair. then first chair threw it at third chair (for those of you wondering, yes, i am the only girl in brass) and third chair tried to throw it back at first chair after learning who emptied their water on the rag, but he missed, and it hit me in the face. the part where the guy in front of me (i forgot, he plays french horn) (oh ya, and i play trumpet) just emptied his water. that SUCKED SO BAD, but it was SO HILARIOUS!!! and GROSS!!!
wow. that was a lot.

yes babes. Spit is spit. If you play a wind instrument its gonna happen. No need to freak about a bit of spit coming out from you instrument. Chill.
