I was wondering if any one knew much about collar bone piercings. I haven't been able to find all the answers I want/need.

Where exactly are they pierced? Is there a certain spot they are suppose to go? Most pics and videos ive seen the peoples collar bones arent very visable. My collarbones are pretty bold. I think what im seeing is the piercings are right under the collar bone on a angle, but some peoples look like they are on the collar bone or above.

I was also wondering what would be better microdermals or surface bars?? I almost feel like the surface bars would rub around inside too much. My friend got one microdermal. but I want the at least 2 on each side like THIS hers are microdermals. but I've never had those and I'm not sure how I feel about them. I don't know much about the healing time or how I feel about them being permanent.

Thanks for reading!

From what I've heard, microdermals are tons better for clavicle piercings.

Don't quote me on it, but I'm pretty sure there isn't a specific spot they need to go.

I personally like microdermals best, but im not sure which would be better for you for healing and the like.

One of the most common areas for rejected surface piercings as well. They just get irritated a lot there.

I had my clavicles pierced. I loved them dearly but sadly they rejected.

They lasted about a year, but I almost lost them after a few months due to infection.

They reject pretty easily because they move so much. Every time you move your arms or shoulders they'll move. Which can cause irritation.

Plus if t-shirts are your thing you'll have to shop for a whole new wardrobe. T-shirts caused a lot of irritation for me with the collar rubbing against the piercings.

Here is a picture of mine.

awww so adorable. thank you Pink Plaid. they look awesome on you.
the reason i was considering them in the first place is because i mostly wear chest revealing shirts.. lol *i like my chest*

how are the scars from using surface bars?
i can see how theyd move alot.. i still feel they are worth it. my bridge piercing only lasted 8 months before it grew out.. but i love the scars. and i miss it alot...

do you still have your sternum pierced?

thanks again!

Thank you. : )

Well I took mine out before they were able to scar too badly. I just have little holes people only notice if I point it out.

And yes I still have the sternum. Its been 2 years and like 2 months now.
