I found a lot of strays that I've fed and gave shelter to, mostly cats but a few dogs. That's about it though.

My brother saved my cat from death row. He got her from a kill shelter, they said she was too old to adopt out to people because they want kittens. she was only 2, wish is strange that they think she's too old.

I found this cat near my bf's (in real life) house. I fed it evreyday. Then after a while I took it to the humane society. I check up on it now and then when I can. I hope she got a home.

Our animal rights group goes out every christmas and rescues at least 1 animal. Last year (or the year before difficult to keep track) we rescued 3 turkeys all were named with names with the initials L.B (for lucky B******) and went to agreeable local rescue centres. A few of our demo's in different places probably saved many lives but not entirely positive on that one.

Our last dog was from a local shelter. Gabriel was a yellow-lab/golden retriever mix about 9-10 years old when we got him, and he lived to be about 14. Wish we could have had him longer. He was as much of an angel as his name indicates. He thought everyone in the world was his friend and loooooved Halloween, because he got to see all the kids at the door. =)

My cat Daisy was chasing a young chipmunk. We scooped th chipmunk up and put it in a large tank with a screen lid. We kept him for about 5 days. He still had his belly button cord (can't spell what it is really called!) so we suspected he was a baby. He was a pretty big baby though.

None of mine are a big deal, but I saved my cat Booboo because he was left in a box on the side of an abandoned road.
My cat Max is from the animal shelter.
Two of my Budgies I got from a woman who no longer wanted them.
Got my Lovebird from a couple who were moving and couldn't take him.
My Cockatiel came from a man who said we could have her for free, so I guess he didn't want her.

I actually just found a catbird on the side of the road this morning on the way to work. Thank goodness for understanding employers who don't give me a hard time if I'm half an hour late because I had to stop. I think it was clipped by a car - the bird rescue lady we took it to said it seems to have central nervous system damage, which I agree with. Poor thing kept wobbling over on its side when I tried to pick it up. It did drink water and eat some food my brother gave it while I was at work, though (pieces of safe fruit and beheaded mealworms), so who knows? The rescue place has all wildlife certifications necessary to keep restricted birds like that for rehabilitaton and if they can't be released, and the lady said she'll send me an e-mail at some point with whether it makes it or not. I'm not expecting any miracles, but I'm glad it's not dying on the side of the road.

And God bless my brother, too. He was so nice and took such good care of the little thing while I was gone. He's awesome. He spent more time than I did caring for it.
