Ronchas wiped the side of her arm with a sanitary wipe and proceeded to ready the needle. He stopped a moment and instead of inserting the needle immediately, asked instead: "You already have a lot of experience with children, yes?" It was small talk. While Kara was sufficiently distracted by the question, Ronchas inserted the needle and injected the serum into her bloodstream.
"There. All done," he said, grinning widely. "You two should get busy with your part now," he said with a wink at Donovan. "I didn't do any artificial insemination, but the serum makes her quite fertile. So go, go. Get to work." He laughed, shooing them out of his office.
"Miss Selma," he said to his receptionist. "When is the next appointment?"
She looked up from her reading, angry that he had bothered her. "At 1." Her answer was short, and one would wonder whether or not she actually knew what the next appointment was. She didn't even look at a schedule.
"Oh goody, time for lunch," Ronchas cheered and shut his door again, leaving the couple in the waiting room.

It was not the first time the couple thought, or rather Donovan thought that Ronchas was a few screws loose. Of course judging by the faint blush on his cheeks he didn't take the suggestion all so well. That wasn't what one said in public dammit!
"That was strange...."
"Come on," Kara murmured leading Donovan over to the reception desk.
Though she wasn't quite sure, since it seemed the receptionist well... was a bit grouchy.
"I need to know if there are any other appointments, or if we just wait and call and if we do we need a phone number because Dai did this for us."
Stopping in front of the desk Donovan knocked on it, "Hey, is there anything else we need to know before we go? Like appointments and such, and we need a business card."

Selma looked up at the couple and heaved a sigh, reaching into a drawer and pulling out a stack of cards to replace the empty business card tray. "You can call and make an appointment whenever." She waved her hand. "If you have any other questions," she paused and saw Nurse Violet walking out from the hallway and pointed. "Ask her." Her lip curled in a mockery of a grin at her luck and she returned to her magazine.

Donovan resisted the urge to roll his eyes as he snatch a card from the card holder and tucked it into his front pocket. The man needs to replace his secretary he thought to himself.
"We'll keep that in mind," he muttered.
He wrapped his arm around Kara's waist.
"Let's go," he murmured, "See you.. err.. whenever we need that next check up."
Kara giggled, "Come on, our break is almost up and Tracy is going to wonder where we are."
As they walked out of the clinic.
"Ah... let Scott suffer a bit longer," Donovan's voice floated in the air as the door closed behind them.
