Punk waqs caught completly off guard by that slap and took a step backwards in complete shock, his head titled from the impact. However, now he was pissed, and would charge at Hardy for a double-leg takedown.

v1 And this was busting out into a brawl as Punk tackled Hardy onto the canvas! Matt's response was to try and volley fists back up at Punk when he could, rolling around left and right! v1

Punk was getting some of the shots, but was sending some of his own as well as the refferee started counting, looking for the break.

v1 The referee got to the 5 count and would have to separate both men physically, with Hardy rolling aside from Punk. Sneering, he waited for the referee to move out of the way so he could charge in, looking to tackle Punk down to the canvas in turn! v1

As soon as they were seperated, Punk had rolled away to aknee, getting up slowly. When the ref moved, it revealed Hardy charging and Punk instinctivly brought up his right knee, looking to meet Hardy's face.

v1 The knee blasted Matt right in the face and threw him back onto the canvas, clutching his face! Turning over slowly .. Hardy was trying to shake the cobwebs out of his head from that hard counter. v1

CM would look to capitolize, sending a stiff kick aimed at Hardy's ribs as he tried to roll away.

Punk would dash at Hardy as he was getting up, looking to leap a few inches off the floor and diliver his knee to the temple of the Sensai of Mattitude.

v1 Having an idea of what Punk was going after, Matt would roll aside, letting Punk crash into the corner! The roll would take him over to his corner, looking to tag in Gregory Helms for the first time in this match! v1

Punk was wrapped up in the corner, holding his leg where it made contact with the middle turnbuckle and was unable to prevent the tag.

(H) Getting the tag from Hardy, Helms ducked into the ring and ran over, trying to club Punk with forearms, or anything else he could barrage him with in the meantime! (H)
