Behold; I have mastered differentiation of the "Quote" and "Edit" keys...Sorry about having to repost, Tamera.
Mischa Fair

Her costume is amazing, this is a stock resource image by mizzd_stock on Deviant Art. Excellent steam-punk feel.

Is she meant to look like a gnome, or is my take based on personal (character) experience?

These are od Dawn, Michael Joseph Linsner's comic character. The first two are done in colored pencil believe it or not, amazing huh? The last is alcohol marker, colored pencil, and acrylic on velum Bristol board. Really amazing traditional work.

It's easy to see the similarity to your work. Did you model it after this artist intentionally or did you come to very similar styles along different artistic paths?

I like Wen-M's work a lot...though he can be hit and miss. Something about the clean shading and the odd anatomy sometimes appeals and yet disgust me. :/ Hmm

I love his work, especially when you see how much he's grown over the years. It's really phenomenal.

I believe it was described as a Steam Punk or Tinker Gnome photo set, seems she did a good job since you guessed it.

I found his work when someone told me my style reminded them a lot of his, and it is kind of uncanny. He does faces very differently from I, but we have similar body types we enjoy drawing.

Really? It was the facial stylistic differences that I found so striking.

This is a helm made by hand (that means the designs as well) by a woman known as Celefindel on Sheezy Art. She has an amazing talent with leather, metal, and cloth. Check out her crafts in her gallery:
