Alexei heard Adrian stop counting, and picked up the pace. "Let's split up." He decided, nodding to himself. "It'll be harder for him to catch us." He'd learned this when playing with his older cousins. He let go of Jadian's hand, and zigzagged away.
If he had learned anything from his cousins, it was how to play tag.

Adrian had to pause for a moment when he saw the pair in front of him split up. He looked back and forth between them before giving a smirk and chased after the new kid. He could chase Jadian and play games with him any time. This was a chance to see what this new kid could pull off in a game of tag.
Jadian gave a squeak seeing Adrian turn to follow after Alexei, "Look out! Hes after you!" Jadian called out, giving him warning.

Alexei sped up, and made a sharp right turn. Occassionally, he'd look back as if making sure Adrian was still following. He zipped back and forth, right and left, a grin making its way across his face.
He may not have been good at other games, such as Red Rover, but tag.. He could do that.

Adrian gave a bit of a glare at his brother, cheater! He wasn't supposed to tell everyone who he was after! He would have to make sure that when he tagged his brother it was more like a tackle then a tag he thought to himself as he pushed himself harder to catch up with his current target.

Alexei paused in his running, he was starting to get tired. He took several hurried, deep breaths before taking off again. It was hard running non-stop! His speed lessened, though he was pushing himself to go faster. His legs wouldn't allow it.

Adrian, who was normally such a grumpy child, had never looked happier as he realized the one he was chasing was starting to weaken. He was slowing down, having to take breaks, and was trying to push himself to keep ahead but was failing... it only pushed the dark skinned boy to run forward fasting, moving into a position so that he could tackle the other boy instead of just tagging him. It would he'd gotten lost in the fun that was hunting and catching that he forgot that he was supposed to be careful with his friends.

Alexei finally came to a full stop, resting his hands on his knees and taking several deep breaths. If he'd known Adrian was so close behind him, he would have pushed himself to run. Even if he had tried, he wouldn't have succeeded. There was no energy left in him.

Adrian started to laugh a devious laugh when he saw that the one he was chasing not long stopped this time but leaned over to rest his hands on his knees. The dark skinned boy seemed quite delighted as a moment later he was flying through the air to tackle him! This would show him that you didn't stop in the middle of such a 'dangerous' game as tag!
Jadian gave a squeak of surprise when his brother suddenly lunged for Alexei and raced forward to try to save his new friend... though he was far to slow to really be of any help.

Alexei was trapped. He couldn't squirm away even, he was still out of breath. "I'm it!" He surrendered. "Time out now?" He asked, taking a deep breath. "You guys get a head-start, I'll catch up to you."
