Let's tackle the main ones:
Who is the Captain here/who is responsible? The Cap'n is whoever has their name beside 'Current Owner:" As for who is responsible,...that's a matter of opinion. Aren't you the Captain? Oh god, I hope not. But, I'm schedualed for ownership a couple months from now. What if I have issues with the Captain? Wait a month. We rotate them on a monthly basis. Or, if they're serious, inform the other VCs. Why can't I be a VC/Co-Captain? The original Titans clan had 10, yes, ten Vice Captains. Unfortunately for you, we've got most of them back. If 5 VCs can run a clan of 2,000 people (which we did), I'm pretty sure the 7 (?) we have now can run a clan of 100. How can I get promoted? There are lots of ways to get promoted. You can buy badges, complete the Titans Trials (not yet up and running), or just show promise as a member. Why should I stay? You don't get 3rd overall by running a few TekTek contests. We have a lot more to do now, and it's a lot more organized. We don't have any crazy rules, and it's a lot more relaxed. What if I get off-topic? I, personally, don't care. I love going from malfunctioning HTML code to why Pokemon are impractical gas station attendants. WTF is all this Badge nonsense? I already beat Pokemon! Badges are used for voting in contests. They let regular (read: generous) members vote in contests, something only crew and VCs can do. Hm. No dice, eh? Okay, say I bought myself a count badge. I could vote in any contest that says "Badge Restriction: Count". I couldn't vote in Monarch contests, because my badge level wouldn't be high enough. See, it is like Pokemon! Remember when you were all like "I wanna get intos de gym!" n' they were all like "Noes! You needses more badgeses!" n' you were all like "Bull sh*t!". Like that. Oh, and we have a list of badge-holders too. That's dumb. Why would you have that? More people buying badges=More money for contests. Originally, you'd just donate and get the badge, but we set up this new system. I wanna be crew! Then you're going to have to work for it. Unlike badges, which you can just randomly buy, it's a promotion (or a demotion, if you're slacking off). Things like donations, participation in forums and contests, being nice/helpful, recruitment, etc will all get you a crew promotion (like Member of the Month), but you have to continue doing that, or you'll be demoted (like I was stare ) Are crew and badges related? Aside from voting, not at all. What if I made a donation for badge and didn't get one? Then you should probably remind the VC who you donated to to give you one and put your name on the list. Where did my lovely topic go? It's time to accept an important fact of life: not all topics are equal. Most of them are just moved (most to Chat), some are re-named, and some are deleted. They key here is to think of why we might want to keep your topic up there. I want to donate to the clan's "cause", but I don't know how! Go see Jack. He's the clan's ATM machine. The number at the bottom of his sig represents the clan funds (CF). When a crew member requests/requires gold for stuff like contests, he marks it down. Okay, how does that work? When you donate to Jack, he does 2 things: he adds your donation amount to the total CF, then marks your name and amount in the clan's donation logbook. This is an alternative to normal clan funding: when you use the "donate" form on the homepage, it goes into the clan's account, which is (regrettably) strictly for new subforums. The system logs your donation, as well as other stuff (see Member List). We have a similar system, except it goes to Jack and he does all the work. Normally, we'd use a mule, but that proved to be risky business. I wanna make a contest! Only crew members can run contests. This is so that we can remove any...unwanted entries. Cool! Where do I start? Well, first you should be prepared to run it yourself, since most of us are busy running our own contests. You might also have to fund it yourself, though I'm sure Jack can give you some gold. You also have to maintain your contest, and posting rules A.S.A.P would be helpful. It's also helpful if you remove your contest when it's over. This prevents clutter on the main page.
