I was thrown into Pit this year for marching band. I didn't like it that much. I was used to marching in the piccolo section for years, and then that happened. Don't be me wrong, I loved not having to march, but at the same time, I didn't like that fact. Our parts were insane. Three of us had to cover a pit heavy show. The one didn't even know how to read music, so it was another player and I covering all the mallet and accesory parts, and the foreign exchange student covering bass drum. It just annoyed me that only three people were covering pit for a show that had over 20 different parts.

Our constant motto was "Our pit don't stink" and it always made me laugh. We had always gotten best percussion and stuff so everyone puts a lot of pride into the pit.
Pit is amazing and no band is complete without one!

Pit rocks!
I'm in pit this year, my first year, and it's been fun! We're pretty close and all get along well! We have TONS (and I mean tons) of inside jokes, and the battery is pretty cool too ^U^
And we do kinda get insulted, but not much. My (marching) friends will always complain to me how hard it is to march, but then I'm all like, well you don't have to carry mariba's, wrap cymbals, and load the truck, and miss the 3rd quarter break just to deal with all your junk.
so, anyway,

I " LOVE " big impacts! I love how we have our small moments. It's all us. EVERYONE has to listen. <3 I love being in PIT~!
Yeah man, I hate how they say we don't do anything. I don't know about you guy, but in my band PIT has to load up the truck. This is some heavy equipment! And it's not just OUr stuff, no, it's THE WHOLE BAND stuff! We load up Props, instuments, Karts, ect. You name it! It's there!

I love pit. Yea we stand there but we have alot to do. Ppl say pit doesnt do much we r just there to add some sound but we do soo much more then that. we have some hard stuff. Like 4 mallets. I have trouble with it and the drummers would make faces. I would like to see them try that rolleyes
