Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru. ...that Soul Exchange isn't on either the Banned, Limited, or Semi-Limited lists?

Oh I beg to differ.
Properly placed, you can get something nice out for free.
Imagine sacrificing your opponent's DAD for your own beast of choice >,,>
I know, I know...easily counterable...but isn't everything nowadays? Just slap down an MST or something before it for good measure and you're golden.

It doesn't promote aggression and that's the only thing in TCG right now.

That's what's great about it.
Thinking of it in MtG terms, it's the perfect card for a "Blue" deck.
Just thought I'd throw it out here because I totally thought it was banned for a long time now <.<;;;

You won't have a chance. Whenever someone gets DAD out, it almost always means game over. Besides, in today's metagame, speed is everything and Soul Exchange slows you down for 1 turn.

Speed-shmeed.
The only reason people say that is because no one has bothered to explore in this game. Nobody deviates from the same, cookie-cutter builds that win tournaments because they take the game too seriously. Sure, sometimes they throw in peanut-butter, or M&M's, or, hell, even Skittles if they're feeling a bit wacky, but nobody, truly, tries anything new. This next banlist isn't gonna change anything. DAD and JD may be banned (the most-likely case), but people will find a replacement for them and it will be the same thing over again until the next banlist comes out.
That's actually why I created my other topic challenging YDoG to make an all-spellcaster deck without using Dark Magician <.<
Just to see if anyone was up to it.
Through benefit-of-the-doubt, I'll assume that most people are actually doing something with this week...but still...I can't help but feel that no one IS up to it.
It may sound cheesy, but every card is useful...one just needs to find a use for it.
The card in question, Soul Exchange, DOES have its uses...one just needs to play it right. In a way, it can be played as another form of Brain/Mind Control. Tech it in right and bring back monarchs or something, hell if I know.
I'm just going to assume this will make as much sense when I hit submit as it did when I was typing it.

Pheso It may sound cheesy, but every card is useful...one just needs to find a use for it. True enough. Its still used by the few who play here (we have a new player!) and thankfully we aren't touched by teledad or whatnot. ....ah cripes. the games losing its flare now (IMO) -_-; nothing's fancy, all the originality is gone or given a red card....I'm gonna build my Earthbounds and Kuriboh deck and call the game quits.

1. Oh really? Can you name a deck that can consistently beat DAD/LS besides other DADs/LSs?
2. Yes, they do. They usually end up failing, or on a winning streak when the deck debuts and then fail because opponents know what to expect and counter the second time.
3. Monarchs never left, actually. Ever since the original Monarchs were released, I've seen a lot of people using them. Sure, they may not be at the top of the game today, but they are still a popular archetype after all these years.
The stuff I typed may not make much sense either because I'm typing it at 3:00 am and can't think properly. So sorry if it doesn't.

Yes Monarch's are still around, with 3 Royal Oppressions to help against the Meta.
Soul Exchange would be banned but because you can't attack on the turn you use it, it's not a game winning card and gives your opponent atleast a turn to fight back.

You know I have actually seen a lot of people Main or Side Soul Exchange just to throw people off, and it works.
Sometimes the cards that people least suspect win you games.
Case in point: -My friend Conner was facing a TeleDAD with a Spellcaster deck to which he played Question. The monster at the bottom of his Grave was Injection Fairy Lilly. The opponent had no idea of the first monster that was in his Grave because he didn't expect to be quizzed on it. So, Injection Fairy Lilly was summoned, then he summoned another one, he used their effect, and plowed right through a DAD and attacked for game. The cards he used that no one expected: Injection Fairy Lilly and Question
-My friend Jason was running a Gadget Oppression and was facing a Zombie deck that was heavy on S/T removal. He had two face downs. One was Solemn, the second was Fake Trap. His opponent activated MST, and he chained it with Fake Trap. His opponent then summoned a Pyramid Turtle to which he Solemned. Next turn he was able to clear the field and attack for game. Cards no one expected: Fake Trap.
-My friend Shane was running a Zombie deck that he modded to deck out the opponent. He was running three copies of Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower, and three copies of Iron Chain Snake. His opponent was running a Monarch deck. In one turn, (he had two Soul-Absorbing Bone Towers face up on his field) he played Zombie World, summoned Zombie Master, to summoned an Iron Chain Snake, and then he Book of Life-d another Iron Chain Snake. He milled his opponent of 6 cards, then equipped the Iron Chain Snakes to his opponents Mobius, plowed through it and made his opponent mill another 12. Cards no one expected: Iron Chain Snake inside a Zombie Deck, and Soul-Absorbing Bone Tower since no one runs it anymore.

Synaku_Blade You know I have actually seen a lot of people Main or Side Soul Exchange just to throw people off, and it works. I've seen that too. We have 3 or 4 guys at my card shop that are SJC regulars and at least 2 of them usually end up putting Soul Exchange in their side deck.

You've proven half of my second point. It has happened to a lot of people I know and it has happened to me too. Winning streak due to an unusual strategy/card/whatever but the 10th time, your opponent destroys you.

Soul exchange as three flaws, one was pointed out earlier, the fact you can't attack the same turn it's used, the second flaw with it is that it is easy to block can i hear anyone scream Majic jammer please?, and the third flaw is you could have it backfire on you with a counter effect e.g coh or gravity bind just winding you at the beggining.
