True very true. He has to be tough on Koenma.
I love how much Koenma grew up! <3 I mean mentally as well, not just physically. Though the headbands he wears with those suits....ick XD I would hate to have Jr. stamped on my head.

I love the development in Koenma's character throughout the series, the skeletons in the closet that were revealed and just how he dealt with them and how much, like eartian put it, he's grown. I don't think the reoccurring teenage form was an accident. I think the animators were trying to tell us something. : )

Okay, whoever made that review obviously knows nothing about YYH, unless it was a popularity contest (likely consider how popular Naruto is.)
@mary: Now that I know so much about your crossover/sequel, it's interesting to read this thread. A lot of themes of the fic are here!
I read the BEST fanfiction that talked about how Yusuke is the only spirit detective. (It bashes Twilight, which is part of the reason that it's so hilarious.) Here: http://vicas-fawx.deviantart.com/art/Baseball-105783273
I agree that I don't think Enma would rape anyone, if only because his actions tend to be so passive--he really only acts when it's completely necessary. I can't see him attacking people for generally no reason.
I think we didn't get a lot of him because he is actually a corrupt politician UTTERLY EVIL. Hard to really care about his character at all after learning that part, at least for me. xd

*shrugs*
I don't know. I don't really judge people. I leave tons of leeway. Maybe there's something that happened that has made him the way he is. Maybe it hurts him to act this way. Maybe it's all hidden in his thoughts. I've just seen so many cases where an apparently evil character will turn out to be nothing more than human.
Well, you know what I mean. ^^;

That fic was pretty funny XDDDDDDDD
I think Kurama would be a little kinder though depending on how badly the vampires pissed him off XDDDD
Ah the magic of Kurama's hair <3
Onto Enma Theory:
I don't quite have a grasp on him because so little is said about him. He kinda just floats there..ya know? He doesn't seem real and when he finally does take part he comes off as crude...But his son was "messing things up" and he had to step in..Enma shouldn't bother his son- if Ennma had taken an active part in the first place then he could complain.

It's true. There are lots of unlikeable qualities about King Enma. I mean, he did just leave Jr. on his own while he went off on vacation. He is cruel. He just let's the world turn it's self over, and even then most the time won't step into help. He blames things on other people, refusing any on himself. And yet in all this, he still has the guts to tell Botan "I care for each of those people like they were my own children." However, I still think it would be interesting to get a inside look at his character. I think his rise to power and any other past would just be interesting. : )

(I so need to get the rest of the DVDs.) I don't remember that AT ALL. I've just always thought that he couldn't really be bothered with anything. He seems so passive and laid-back (which isn't a good quality in the king of the world) that it was like nothing mattered, except things that made him angry.

I'll try to recall it as accurately as I can...
During Chapter Black, as the boys are in the cave fighting Sensui, Koenma is getting ready to use his pacifier, remember? And he tells Botan that if there's and earthquake to head to Spirit World and alert King Enma. Well, Botan feels the earthquake, signaling the use of the, what is it, Mafuyukan? Kin? Something like that? Anywho, so she flies up to Spirit World immediately and goes to see King Enma. Enma talks with her for a bit about how grave the situation is and sending out the Spirit Defense Force, or something like that. Botan asks something along the lines of if the situation is that desperate and talking about the possible lives that could be lost when Enma says "Don't think I don't grieve over their deaths. I care for each of those people like they were my own children." Or something like that. It was just something very typically Christianity-God-like to say...
Sorry for the vagueness. ^^;

I don't consider him evil...just eh..i don't know..
I've never really liked Enma that much. Just like I've never really like Yomi...
Yomi fans: shoot me at will XD

Hahaha, Yomi's amazing just because I think he'd be a rather interesting character to toy around with.

I've never cared much for Yomi, either--then again, I've only seen the arc he's in once, so that might have something to do with it. I think the reason I disliked him was because, to me, he was Kurama's antithesis, and I'm a fan of the red-head. Also, he grew his son in a test-tube...to fight. Which doesn't really make sense to me, since he knew he might end up having to fight his son anyway.

I've only seen the arc once too. I never really saw Kurama and Yomi's as enemies though. But then again, this was in fifth grade so (shrugs) maybe I didn't pick up on some things I should've. I never thought Yomi grew his son JUST for fighting though. I mean, I'm sure passing down his genes had something to do with it, but I do think he cared for Shori, just in the strict, conservative father type of way.

i cant pick a favorite and i really wanted the cookie^.^ i love the entire thing i love how their personality changes as the anime progresses and how different they are in the end compared to the begging. often i'll watch the first few episodes than the last few just to compare how much they have grown as characters.

My thoughts exactly! Especially with Yusuke! It's so interesting to see how his views on life have changed so much since his first death to the very end!
