Mabaiah jumped and looked over her shoulder, "I'm... Mabaiah. It's nice to meet you Maktiel..." 'Maktiel... What a beautiful name... it fits him' she thought as she continued to follow the eager corn baby. she had absolutely no clue where they were going, or why... she thought that Maktiel would have either killed her by now, raped her, or chased her far FAR away from his woods; not let some silly adorable corn baby drag her around. something must be up, and she remembered Baridi telling her to keep her guard up. her muscles tensed and she kept her head low, but her eyes were wide open and taking in every landmark, so if it ever came down to a life or death sprint... she'd be able to figure out where she was going.

'Mabaiah? That's a lovely name' Maktiel thought to himself. Though he would never let her know that he thought her name to be beautiful. He watched as she seemed to curl into herself, still afraid of him even after he started being hospitable towards her. 'Reassure her.' His conscious told him, causing him to open his mouth. "I'm not going to hurt you." Maktiel paused. That sounded way too nice. "My companions have never seen such violence and I can assure you that while they are around you, you are safe." 'Ah, much better.' He'd still seem like the rough, vicious male that he was. She really shouldn't let her guard down around him, so was it that mean to remind her not to?

"Well, That's slightly reassuring..." she mumbled under her breath. she looked down at the little corn baby still attached to her ankle and struggling to pull her faster, and she smiled, "Well Little one, Looks like you've become my new best friend."
As they cotinued down the path her eyes scanned the trees, and as they passed through a narrow row of threes she caught a glimps of what looked to be a face right in front of her. she leapt out of the was and screeched in fear, "Holy...! Where did you come from..." her legs gave out and she laid down, her legs shaking, "OH, Wow... You scared me..." she huffed, clearly out of breath.
(she came face to face with his ent >3< If it's alright... I was trying to think of something funny to do.)

Autumn's wooden eyebrows raised as the Pan'lun almost ran straight into him, and then proceeded to have a small panic attack. He nodded his head silently at her apology, offering her one of his wooden hands to help her up. Autumn sent a curious glance at Maktiel, wondering silently why he would bring a female home to them. 'A playtoy for Maroo,' Maktiel answered his unspoken question through their mental link. The Corn baby was now trying hasty to brush all of the dirt the might have settled on Mabaiah's fur when she fell. Autumn cleared his throat, and turned away once Mabaiah had found her way back onto her feet. He'd escort them to their home.
Maktiel watched his small group travel through the trees from behind. It was interesting how quickly Autumn accepted the female into their group. Yes, Maroo had been bugging them alot lately, having fallen into a heavy board um, but not to the point where Autumn would just brush off a stranger just to appease the Corn baby. Finding a opportunity to talk with Mabaiah, Maktiel picked up his pace so that he was walking beside her. "Autumn doesn't talk much." Maktiel spoke, his voice a quiet whisper. He knew that his familiar could hear him, but didn't mind. He was only speaking the truth.

"That's fine... It's nice to have a silent walk every now and then..." she looked up at the moon peeking through the breaks in the trees and sighed, "I'd never get that kind of peace at my home... It'd either be Kiyoshi and Akuma playing tag in the Chalet, or Baridi nagging on me about how i need to get out more..."
She looked at Maktiel and smiled, "You've had a sudden change of heart... Does this little gremlin mean that much to you?" she nuzzled the little one's head and smiled, thankful that he showed up.
