Hanzo Komeiji I wouldn't be surprised if they were, maybe someone should send 'em a message or something asking if they've heard about Touhou? Now that I think about it, one of DF's guitarists is from Hong Kong, so maybe he's heard about the games from Japanese or Korean friends... mad D GregW17 I think they are... Bet Magnum Opus had to ask DragonForce to use Where Dragons Rule for this one... 竹取飛翔 ~Lunatic Princess~Where Dragons RuleThe guitar solo in particular is almost identical, even if half of it is on the keyboard. (although it's put to better use in Touhou XD) Wow, you're right. After hearing three Magnum Opus songs copying intros from DragonForce, one could say they're just plagiarizing their style... but I can't blame them. It's almost a tradition for J-metal bands to look up on Western bands for ideas. SHO once said they're huge Sonata Arctica fans, and IRON ATTACK! copied Iron Maiden more than once (example: this song, a mix between Sakuya's PoFV theme and Iron Maiden's The Trooper) Edit: Just found this video, featuring 6 more Touhou doujin tributes. Second edit: Just noticed 月まで届け、不死の煙 also copied the same final guitar riff and keyboard ending.

Reverse weaboos... I'll have to remembe that one. *Jots down some notes*
Meanwhile, somewhere everywhere in Gensokyo, a distressed tengu frantically searches for her notebook.

Either way you look at it, there's a good chance that DF are touhou fans, just take a look at the GH3 chart for TTFAF. It's Insane, just like Touhou!
I'm pretty good at GH, but not that good! xD
EDIT: I should make "It's Insane!" into a running gag, or a meme, or something.

It all makes sense now.

It all makes sense now. That's what I thought too! That's obvious, it does happen during the credits after all. So that counts as an EX Boss. Indeed! @Wotan Indeed, the very first verse made me think of her. So is it possible that the appearance she shows us is but an illusion?

Just found an interesting one: Korpiklaani's Running with Wolves. The melody played during 0:17 to 0:18 sounds rather similar to the first few notes of Reach for the Moon, Immortal Smoke, and is repeated a lot of times during the rest of the song.
