. . . Erased?
William and Huan Yi exchanged a confused look when Pasayo explained the symbols on the door. In a house as large as this, labelling did make sense.. but the part about erasing.. didn't quite add up. This only added to the earlier talk about "creating" rooms.. could it just have been their way of making the moving in experience interesting, or was there something more to it? The two weren't quite sure.
Tsuji seemed to take it all in stride, in any case. The talk of erasing rooms was something she chalked up as adult banter. She decided to ask about that one later, when the topic of the brothers in the conservatory caught her attention, as well as this Noah character. Just.. what made them so dangerous? If they were so dangerous, why were they there? They couldn't be as bad as she said.
"I don't see why he wouldn't like me." She held her head up proudly. She could probably make him like her, and she'd love nothing more than to prove it. This thought was probably a cover-up about her itch to explore what she was told not to, to make her feel less guilty about it, but she didn't really dwell on that part.
"Regardless." William gave the child a soft rap on the head. "Ye best be doin' what Pasayo 'n the others here say. She knows the house inside 'n oot and they know more aboot the tenants then you. Don't be entertainin' any foolish ideas." Tsuji rubbed her head tenderly and narrowed her yellow eyes at him, but the exchange was interrupted by the arrival into the kitchen and the sudden presence of Houkan. The words he spoke sounded heavy, although the reason was beyond what they had understood, outside of their cousin having brought another child to stay at the Manor. Huan Yi frowned in concern at the exchange between the boy and Pasayo.. so many questions. Did they know what they were getting into moving in here.. ?
However Tsuji's nose detected the gentle scent of food from the oven. She didn't know what Houkan was making, but whatever it was smelled delicious. Remembering that Pasayo had said that he was the one who cooked whenever Rown came home, the little Ashe frowned. So this food wasn't for her?
"Whatcha making?" She decided to ask anyway and she leaned to peek around the counters as though to look into the darkened oven door. "I'm hungry." Huan Yi frowned just slightly, feeling a little embarrassed at her charge's forwardness towards... this boy she wasn't quite sure about yet (in regards to her feelings, or to how hard her heart was beating). Yes, "tact" was something she was going to have to teach her soon.

Houkan looked down at Tsuji the moment she spoke, and the look of worry and stress that had etched itself across his face seemed to lift away, replaced by a gentle smile and warm eyes. Pasayo, too, was smiling down.
"You are more than welcome to have some, if you would like. My cousin wished for some cookies to be made while she moves your items in, so I am preparing a batch for her. They are chocolate chip, if that would suit your taste, and should be ready in a few more minutes. Our ovens here are quite fast."
He neglected to mention that the ovens cooked as fast as the person using them wished for them to do so, even though that really only applied to Houkan or his Elder brother, making it not entirely needed that he let them know.
"Has Pasayo been showing you around? She gives good tours, if I may say so myself, and has not once been lost in this house. Even in the dark of night she can navigate as if the sun were shining brightly and all the lights in the home were burning."
