angrymalazar Hmmm, I recommend D'Addario med. gauge, Ernie Ball Hybrid Slinkies, GHS medium Boomers, and Warwick Red Labels. Always wanted to try Rotosounds and DRs though, no where around here carries them... I have some Rotosounds on my bass, I love em', but am thinking about replacing them any ideas with what?

I've heard really good things about Elixers but they cost more than twice as much as normal bass strings. The D'Addarios I have on my Ibanez right now are really good, I was suprised.

Swampkee any strings are good really.....think about it....if there were no strings there would be no bass..... Wow, sometimes I contemplate whether some members have anything helpful to contribute to discussion. Then they say something like that and raise more doubt.

The Elixers on my Shecter were getting pretty nasty so i went out and bought some Dean Markley Blue Steals for $35. I love um, though they are pretty small gages (cant spell that right) they are really good especially for Funk, or anything with Slap.
