As many know, my mouthpiece kind of broke. Tommorrow we are getting a new mouthpiece. My clarinet is extremely picking, so I might need a custom one or( as my mom said, who played clarinet 35 years ago) get it remade. So, my question is:
What mouthpieces should I avoid? What are the best brands? We have a limited budget, so the cheaper, the better. I would love to have an expensive mouthpiece, but we just can't afford it. Please; I need to know before tomorow so I don't end up getting one that is not very good. i might as well take the oportunity to get a better one...

My mouthpiece broke this year and my BD said I should get the Vandoren (can't remember the exact model). It was $90, which completely blew my mind. But my dad decided it was worth it, and we bought it, along with a new ligature, one of the leather ones. The sound quality improved tremendously, and my BD said even if I got a whole new clarinet in the future I could keep the mouthpiece and it'd last for decades.
He also showed me a model that was a little cheaper, $65. I can't remember the brand, though. I know it came in a white-ish box that lifted up instead of opening on one end.
This is the mouthpiece I'm currently using. This is my ligature.
I couldn't find the cheaper mouthpiece on Google. Sorry. D:

Vandoren M 13 lyre's are good. Most pro's use that one, though it'll be about $80 or so.
Though, c'mon, custom? That can cost into the thousands. Not worth it.

As far as clarinets go, I hear no matter what mouthpiece you have, if you have a plastic ligature, it will sound better. All the Clarinets in my band have plastic ligatures now, and they sound great.
