The kyn kept a keen watch on the acrobatic skills displayed by each kyn. In all he was impressed, but only a little. But then it wasn't like he could do any better.

his eyes then returned to scanning the area. The kyn realised that he was rather hungry, but didn't want to return to their den site. He was quite capable of bringing down his own food and didn't need to be fed all the time. Although within a few minutes he was quite sure that there was nothing here that he could hunt for. Any game that was here would have scattered when the other dragons had arrived. he would have to look elsewere.

There was no game back in the forst, so there would be no point going back. But on the other side of the area another forest lay. Perhaps he have better luck There..

Checking the skies again he saw that the dragons were quite busy with their own stunts, so if he was fast....

Leaning on his back legs he jumped forward and sprinted accross the open plains, his powerful body propelling him forward. To anybody who saw him they would have though he was a white blur. The lunar kyn kept on running and running, jumping over streams and rocks as he went.

((Who says Europeans are less loved?! *frantic* Nuuu! They're cute n' cuddly n'... I'll shut up now. Easier to color too. *noddles* Personally, I'm in the school of thought that Europeans have a higher muscle mass, so are physically much stronger than the Japanese. They also have the larger lung capacity from the enlarged chest cavity (larger so their wings can attatch and function properly) so they have much stronger breath attacks. Europeans are more towards ground fighting while Japanese/Eastern breeds are in the air with speed and acrobatics. Of course, I'm against Japanese breath techniques because it's not 'classic'... bu that's just me.))

Lazily Asayake followed after the young Lorne, a pleasant smile on her face in the process. She halted her corkscrew and angled out and away from the cone-shaped wake he created, managing to miss the strongest of its backwash with a light chuckle.

Banshou, pleasantly oblivious above them in the atmosphere, was caught off-guard by the wake. He weathered through it with an disgruntled bellow, dropping below the cloud-cover to glare at his sister and 'their' playmate.

"Honestly, you have no sense of humor," Asayake grinned at her brother, giving a flick of her feathered tail.

Hadus growled at the two Eastern kyn circling him. He whipped his head around just in time to see one lunging for his tail, and he whipped it out of the way, catching his attacker on the chin with it. He was forced to roll off to the side as the other lunged, and then a third leapt onto him, trying to pin his forearms. He twisted his lower body up and grabbed the kyn by the scruff of the neck, then snapped his entire body and tossed the Eastern away from him. He rolled onto his feet and leapt over another lunge, kicking his foe in the head as he went. He curled his entire body up into a ball as he landed and slammed right into another enemy's side. He uncurled and growled loudly as all three took to circling him, and then they lunged together. He shoved off with his back legs and went up, supporting his entire body on one front claw, and in one fluid movement wrapped his tail around one's neck, whipped his captive around to smack head-on with another, and grabbed the third by the muzzle with his free forearm. He brought his body down, curled it around the two kyn who had collided, and shoved the third kyn's face into the dirt.

"Ow! Dad, hey! Stop!"

"Hah! If you three can't beat me, there's no way you can handle some of the other kyn who might mess with you! What if you ran across a feral, hm?"

"Dad, there's dirt on my tongue!"

"Better than blood, right?"

"Dad!"

"Honey, let them go..." Kori rolled her eyes from her spot curled in the high branches of a tall tree.

Hadus smirked and released Yule's face, then uncurled from his two daughters. "Now, then. If you three are going to try to sneak up on me like this all the time, I expect you to practice fighting. If you're going to learn how to defend yourselves-- or even join tournaments-- you'll have to get a lot better, and you'll want to start fighting kyn more at your level. You won't learn anything from me until you learn how to spot weaknesses and have practiced that sufficiently."

They groaned softly, partly from the ache of defeat, partly because they now had homework from their father, and partly because he had just beaten them all sorely. Hadus just chuckled and flicked his tail, then leapt into the air and sailed up into the tree to curl up with Kori.
