Appearance: Small and almost fragile looking, Daiyu is of Chinese descendant, with long, soft blue-ish black hair pulled into two buns at the side. Her black eyes have a slight twinkle when she's happy, but become almost grey when she gets serious. Her body is slender, with hardly any northern curves. Beneath her left eye is an orange dyed star. Daiyu stands at only 5'1.
Personality: Daiyu is a shy, polite woman who believes there is good in everyone. She was taught that people, no matter how they act, are in need of a friend. Respect is important to her, and she hardly raises her voice to anyone, as she sees that as a sign of disrespect. She promised her grandmother to always try and be that friend. She has a strong determination, but can easily become upset when someone is hurt or being threatened, especially if it is her wolf. Always there when someone needs to talk, Daiyu will keep fighting against the centipedes to free the innocent people of the City.
History: Raised in a house with her mother, father, younger brother, and grandmother, Daiyu spent most of her time learning herbal medicines from her grandmother while her parents worked at cotton weaving. Most of her knowledge was learned from her grandmother, who tried her best to teach Daiyu to show everyone kindness. When Daiyu was 14, she witnessed a fight between two older boys and a much younger, weaker boy in the City. Without thinking, she jumped in to save him, being thoroughly beaten in the process. Her parents scolded her for her stupidity, but her grandmother congratulated her for being a protector. That's when she decided she wanted to become a wolf rider; to be able to protect the City's people would be a dream come true.
At age 15, she started at the academy. She trained hard, and although her body wasn't as strong as most of the other recruits, she never gave up. Her determination and intellect got her through each day, until she was finally accepted to bond at 20.
When she reached the cavern in which the pups resided, she felt a strange tingling which drew her to the corner. There, sitting up straight with shoulders back, was a majestic blue wolf. He was gorgeous to her, and as soon as their eyes met, she knew he was the one for her.
