Why not make an exploding bouncyball launcher? It shoots 10 shots at full automatic, then you reload. The balls would bounce around in a room until someone waded into it, then all of them would explode.

It's probably been mentioned before, but the Demoman seems to work well as an ally to the support class, specifically the Engineer. I've played intel maps where I play a Demoman and another person sets up a Sentry and dispenser in the intel room and the Demoman can act as extra security.

What happens is I usually hide out of the way (not completely out of harms way but in a corner where I can't be that easily seen) and have a few stickies on the corners of the entrances to the intel and if a Medic and Heavy come through I can blow up one of them before they come in to start an uber.

Pyros could come to blow away stickies but a Lv. 3 sentry is waiting for them to try that.

Spies can be handled easily if they are disguised. Just explode the stickies as someone comes in. It messes up your setup but you can quickly set yourself up again. I'm not saying invisible spies can be handled like this but disguised ones have been killed this way very easily.

My point is that a Demoman is like an engineer. It can go offensive with the grenade launcher and receive better artillery, but it doesn't have to go that direction. He can take out Sentries, blow uber-charged characters up out of control, jump far distances, and defend a point, payload, or the intel. I think he can do enough as he is and doesn't need advancements.

How would that even fit the Demoman as a weapon? Anyways, again, overpowered, because then there is no way you can get in there without being hurt.
