Teagan took everything onto a list before going to inspect everything. They did only have eight yard rope after the day, but it was no matter, as they had everything else.
What a strange pair they were, she thought. Complete opposites, from what she could tell. And they both reminded her of herself, oddly enough... But she wasn't going to ask questions, as questions usually earned a thrown knife or a glare from travelers.

"Eighty-two gold for the lot," she said, once the supplies were all set. "Would you like bags or is everything set?"
Her eyes sent a smile to Eiridan before drifting over to watch Alie flit about the shop. It was an odd place, to be sure. It seemed to be split right down the middle, one half for sundries and whatnot, the other half presenting tea things. They sold small canisters of tea, plates, small pots, diffusers... that was the half she preferred.

" Also, we'll need a new kettle and a few hardy cups that can double as bowls for the road, as nutcase over there broke the last two." His voice casual as if remarking on the weather.
" I saw that." Dan set the coins on the counter, mostly ignoring Aliendra sticking her tongue out at him. He looked over his shoulder at her and handed her the arrows.
" Need anything else?" Aliendra adjusted the quiver on her back to stick the arrows in, nudging her elegant bow about as she did.
" How about some of this Kara-Turan?" She asked, presenting a box of the dusky green tea leaves and placing it on the counter with a smile.

Teagan smiled more as the subject of tea and bowls was brought up. That would earn them a tour of sorts of their traveling wares.
She stepped out from behind the counter, and over to the left side of the shop to where there was an assortment of odd-looking cups with handles, but as Dan had wanted, would also serve as bowls.
"These are just plain green ware," she said, taking one down and handing the cup over to whomever was interested in examining it. "Strong, but they don't have the added strength that a glaze would give it. The artisans around here have developed one that will give it an added vitality."

As she spoke about the bowls, her voice became a bit more confident. Still quiet, as she had what was considered a country accent that earned her some criticism, but there was a life in it that hadn't been there before.

"Kettles come in different metals. Standard ones are right over there, hanging by the tea pots. And..." Teagan turned to Alie with a friendly smile, as she was the one who presented the tea. "That Kara-Turan is lovely with a bit of honey or sugar, if you bother with the niceties. I'm not trying to sell you anything you don't need, but just sayin', in case you really take your drinks seriously."

Alie grinned with the look of a wild-thing.
" Tea isn't usually the drink I take seriously, but it's nice every now and then." She winked at the girl while Dan rolled his eyes.
" Yes, a nice break from your wild tavern hopping." He threw her disparaging let affectionate glance, before looking back up.
" We'll take whatever you think is best, we're good for it." He allowed himself a rare smile, before taking the Kara-Turan tea from Alies hands and setting it with their other purchases.

"Oh, well, I won't be pressin' on you anything," she said, laughing, as a bit more of her country side came through. "But let me just flip the sign 'closed' before we go on. I don't mind tending to you, but the night's beginning, and that means we're ended."

Teagan excused herself, and went over to the door where the sign hang in the window. The night outside had fallen, making everything a bit mysterious, and to her, frightening.
"Honey would hold up better if you're travel--"

SLAM!
With a crash, the door Teagan had set her hand upon was thrown open, and her thrown back with it. The force of his gesture made the glass shatter, and the bell upon the ceiling ring like an alarm.
Teagan had caught herself as he came through, though as soon as she was steady again, she was promptly shoved right to the ground by a strong hand.

"Outta me way, lass," he hissed, stepping right over her and towards the counter where his clouded mind reasoned there would be service for him.

Two sword immediately lept from their scabbards at the sound, Dans large two hander on his back and Alies short singing one, purely from habit at the sound. Alie dove over to help up the shopkeeper, hoisting her to her feet with a strong arm, while keeping her eyes on the drunkard. Dan however, sheathed the blade within moments and throwing a look at Alie, adopted a post in front of the counter and in the way. Alie rolled her eyes at her best friends antics. Such things were better tended to without violence, of course.
" Sorry. Closed." Dan said, slow enough so that he might understand through an ale-infested haze. While Dan listened to the drunken mumbles and chatter with an expressionless face, Aliendra pulled her little silver flute from under her shirt and prepared an enchantment spell. It was hard to do one if the person was focused on you, and she thanked Dan for his distraction.

Well, whatever they had in mind certainly wasn't what her aunt had in mind, because with all the noise, she came roaring out of the backroom brandishing a frying pan.
"Drunkards attackin' my dear Teagan?" she cried, already red in the face with indignant anger. "I told Aiden there was nothin' good comin' of lettin' a young girl all on her own behind the counter while he lazed about in the ship yard with his mates!"
And without taking in any of the situation, the burly woman went towards the drunk withher pan raised, ready for a fight.

Teagan, meanwhile, was in a shaking panic behind her benefactor.
"Whatever you're going to do, do it now!" she hissed to Alie, dreading what was going to happen because of her aunt's ways. Honestly, she thought, she was more suited to owning a tavern than a sundries and tea shop with the way she handled everything.

Dan dove out of the way of the frying pan, coming up on to his feet after a roll while Alie raised the elegant flute to her lips. The notes came out sweet and perfectly, laced with magic that she had perfected over the years. The drunk got a glazed look and, dodging under the frying pan, calmly exited the shop and stumbled down the street. Alie continued to play for a few minutes before finishing the song and dropping her flute again.
" Well, that was fun!" She said with a grin. She seemed to be the only one who saw it that way. No doubt, her music-laced song had left the other two women confused, as very few bards could actually mix magic with song these days. It was something she had learned on the road, and as such was a story for another time.
" I'd hate to see what your idea of the best day of your life is.." Dan commented in a drawl with a raised brow, unfazed by both the magic and the short encounter.

Teagan came back to her senses, shaking badly. Even her aunt was, though she didn't show it.
"Well then!" the woman said, setting down her pan. "That was a lovely bit o' savin'! Savin' my Teagan and the shop, eh?"
She walked over to her niece, place her hands on her face and began her fussing.

"Aunty... Aunty, I'm fine!" She was terribly embarrassed, not to mention sore. Her elbow had been scraped in the fall, bleeding slightly.

"I know you are, love. All thanks to them!" Yes, Teagan thought. All thanks to them. She gave an apologetic look to Dan and Alie. What they must think!
She could never do anything for herself, and what was worse was that even her aunt knew it, and wouldn't even bother entertaining the thought that maybe Teagan had a hand in saving the day.

"I say we give 'em what they want, free of charge." Missy took her place behind the counter, and handed back all the coins with a smile and a nod. Teagan wasn't even allowed to get a word in edge-wise. She chattered on and on while giving them even more things to take for free, which wasn't really a problem until she hit a very soft spot with Teagan.

"Aye, everything was all well and good when he was here. Ol' Gil... then he up and disappeared. My poor nephew. Her twin, too! But now, look here, we have two adventurers going 'bout their business, and they help us..."

The two shared a look after packing away the gifts they had been given.
" That's why were here.. To solve that problem, do what we can and all that." She smiled, tucking away a throwing dagger.
" Hopefully we'll be successful. It would be bad after everything we've done for that to be the end." She threw her eyes skyward for a moment.
" Tymoras smile, look at me blathering on like an old maid!" She beamed and adjusted her pack.
" It was lovely to meet the both of you. Thank you very much, and don't hesitate to bend our ears if you need us." She bobbed her head and spun and made to leave.

"Alright, loves!" Missy turned on her heel, and returned to her baking without even seeming affected by what had all happened. The two travelers made their way out onto the street before Teagan could even sort out the jumble in her head. They were there to solve the problem? They could help her! They could find Gil and bring him home!

"Wait!" she cried, dashing out after them both onto the street. "Wait!" Teagan was yelling desperately after them with a choked voice. They could find Gil! she kept telling herself as she ran to them, so desperate for a solution to her pain.

Both of them looked back with an inquisitive eye, though it was Aliendra that hurried to receive her as the girl as she nearly slumped over.
" What, what? We didn't forget anything did we?" She frowned most uncharacteristically, and wrapped an arm about her shoulders. It was clear she was near tears. She adopted a softer tone while Dan looked on, switching feet.
" Yes, what can we do to help you?" She smiled softly and encouragingly.

((screw the colors XD))

"My brother..." she managed to get out. "Gil. She talks about him like he's been gone or dead for years, but... it hasn't even been that long."
Teagan caught her breath for a minute before going on, though she still was holding back frustrated tears.
"It's not fair! He could still be out there, could still need help, but they all won't even bother. They all don't have faith..."

The night air began to clear her head. Teagan was very, very close to nature, revering it all, and to her, it was a sign that she was doing the right thing and just needed to calm down.
"Please... if you're trying to solve this problem, please, help me. Or please, let me help you. I've got to find my brother. I've just got to..."
She ended once it was clear she was pleading more than asking for help. Oh, please, let them be true to their words.
