Just an update, I'm past the part where Bridgette and Elayne bond. That is half-way through Fires of Heaven.

Its Birgitte... not bridgette... A pet peeve of mine is screwing up names >.<

I completely understand but then again one must feed their pets...

Should I feet my pet peeve Orion then? or just the words? Cuz I dont know if he would like the taste of words... but he thinks Orions avatar looks scrumptious!

((and not to get off topic, I should probably include something about the story now))

They often talk about the game of stones in the book. Now it has been awhile since I've read the stories, but doesn't the game seem to be alot like checkers?

Actually, it reminds me more of the Japanese game Go. In fact, it is almost identical. In Go, you place stones at the intersection of lines, and try to surround the enemy's stones. If you do, you "capture" them. Like Stones, Go requires strategic, subtle placement of stones, so that one's plan is not obvious.

Oh, and I finished Fires of Heaven. I do hate how Jordan played with my head! First with Moiraine and Lanfear, then having Mat, Aviendha, and Asmodean dying and then...undying?

It very well could be go, or even another version of chess. I don't recall if it ever mentioned the pieces being able to move in different directions or whatnot.

I don't recall Aviendha and Mat dying... but then again its been awhile since I've read the books. If you think thats interesting, wait until you get to book eleven I believe. There will be a note left by Moiraine for Mat... and thats all I'm gonna say razz

I'm posting another update of my progress through the books. I'm currently reading Lord of Chaos, and Egwene just become the Amyrlin, and is manipulating the other Aes Sedai.

Well, I've almost finished reading Lord of Chaos, and I must say it is rather dissapointing compared to the others I've read so far. There has been little action or plot moving at all.

You stated in your previous post that Egwene became Amyrlin... and then you go on to say that there is little plot movement? Sir, I believe this is what we call contradiction.

I am sorry, but I merely meant there was little plot movement compared to the other books I've read. Yet that is true, that was a very suprising moment.
