I saw the new episode of Ghost Hunters International: Peru. I was so disappointed at the end of the episode when they had the video of a reflection of what they considered the "little boy". It looked like it was a reflection of something in the case. I was even more disappointed that they did not show us the case they claimed to see the boy. In fact, they were sitting in the room where the sighting occurred. All they had to do was go to the case and show us what was inside the case and determine if it was something in the case or not. They just kept getting fired up over the nominal evidence. What are your thoughts????

Most ghost hunting shows I've seen seem to freak out over footsteps or shadows. It's like they're more concerned with getting freaked out and scared than actually finding things.

Given, I've seen some interesting things on the original Ghost Hunters, but they still tend to get fired up over inconclusive things.

While Ghost Hunters never find anything, Paranormal State *always* finds something. And it's almost always demonic.

I have a hard time taking that sort of thing seriously when every single case is a malevolent entity. I don't know if they do a bunch of cases and only air the ones like that, or if it's all just contrived.

I watched ghost hunters a few times but I just couldn't get into. personally I think the history channel did a better job of finding spooks on there monsterquest show then ghost hunters does.

Actually, I entirely agree. I actually like it when TAPS goes to the people and says, "Sorry, we couldn't find anything." Even more when they can explain things so the people aren't scared in their own homes, and such.

I remember an episode where a guy became an entirely different person at home. He hated it, it'd make him queasy and I guess grumpy, and junk. They worried it was haunted and the spirits were affecting him.

Turns out, the paint thinners and junk from the basement were being ventilated through his home, and the fumes were affecting him.

So yeah, I like that even when they don't find something, they can still help. 3nodding

(Annnd... I dunno, I just can't really get into Paranormal State...)

Tch, from what I've seen, when the Ghost Hunters hear a strange noise or see something, and they go AFTER it instead of freaking out and running away.

This is true, but they tend to get really excited about dust motes and bugs until Jason or Grant point out that it's a dust mote or a bug.

Sadly, I've yet to see the new episode of GHI.
Granted, I will say this, GHI and GH are kinda meh for me to believe them. But meh, I get bored and watch the show anyways.

Yeah, but they act like excited little kids about to get some ice cream or something. I don't know, something about how they handle things irks me a little. Dx

I like the origional GH much better. In International, it seems like they say everything is haunted. And the main guy has creepy eyes.

agreed, and it also appears that they rush about, and jump to conclusions....

i think both GH and GHI are flawed in that they get "primed" by learning about the places they visit. I think they should have someone in there who doesnt have a clue, so that one could view with eyes unclouded....
