So, after YEARS of only feeding the BML (Judie's Version) to my babies, I am going to TRY something else.
I still believe BML to be a GREAT diet and have no problems with it. However, on the advice of several in the Glider community who I respect, and because I believe the nutritional analysis to be sound BUT having a more NATURAL basis, I am going to let my fur kids try the HPW diet.
I have ordered the High Protein Wombaroo and the Bee Pollen and plan to record what I (and they) think of the trial period here. I also think I am going to email my exotic vet and just give her the heads up that I MIGHT be switching diets, but nothing definite.

Well, the HPW experiment is going well. We are nearing the end of the trial batch and all the while the kids have really loved it. I have only had one random night when they decided "NOPE, not eating it!" (they will do that) and all others they gobbled the stuff eagerly. It is a savings for me, as baby food is mighty pricey right now, and they seem to be healthy and happy on the new menu. They are enjoying the fruits the same.
I believe I will continue and order enough Wombaroo and bee pollen to last a bit.
This is not to say that there is ANYTHING wrong with BML (fed correctly.). I am a proponant of it and would recommend it as a proven diet to any who would like. But I can safely say that HPW is probably equal. biggrin

I bought my gliders Sunseed Sunscription Vita formula. It's got vitamins and minerals, honey and mealworms mixed in it. It also have fruit juices in it. But I don't give them too much of it during the day because they don't eat as much. They like the soft food.

Yikes. I'd get off that stuff and get on one of the proven diets, seiously.
Besides, they are supposed to only like soft food. They are sap suckers. They can get lumpy jaw and DIE from hard food. But ask Kipluck about it. She's the pro. Her 3 are super healthy and she has been rescuing (and taking care of her own of course) for, like 4 years or something.

Gid, it's not so much the hardness of the food that causes Lumpy Jaw, as the quality, but yes I WOULD agree that Sunseed is NOT a great one. I would suggest checking out BML or HPW or Suncoast. Diet is SUPER important.

I feed BML to my three, but I would LOVE to switch them to HPW.
About the Sunseed Pellets - pellets are bad not only for the previously stated reasons, but they're so hard that they could separate the two lower incisors, making it painful for them to eat. In which case, they'd probably starve themselves to death. Not to mention feeding it would mean you're nutritionally starving your babies.
