Baph twitched an eyebrow at her phone comversation. Whoever this cyrus is, he didn't sound like he was in the best of situations. Baph shrugged softly to himself. It wasn't like he was one to talk really, rarely could he consider himself NOT to be in trouble of one sort or another. Even now with this girl on his arm Baph considered it "trouble" not as bad as usually, but still he though of it as trouble. specially since he couldn't expect anything rational from this one.

"everything allright?" baph asked as fayori hung up the phone. "You sound like this Cy is very important to you." Baph watched her out of the corner of his eye. He wasn't too worried about this one, but it was best to figure out if she was attached already or not.

"sounds like this 'houseguest' was pretty badly hurt. any idea why?" Baph could think of many reasons wy this daruma could be hurt. If a rival gang was starting to move this little tip off could be very useful. If baph could bring word that a rival gang was moving to tommy before they really got going then maybe just maybe baph could buy him and lohkie some time away from this. Maybe he could even get some cash so Lohkie and he could move up and out of this slum.

Baph always had a dream that he could take on a respectful life, get him and lohkie outa the outer limits and start to make some real money. but all that was impossible as long as Tommy had his claws on both of them. One day, Baph promised himself, he would bring tommy down.

Baph snapped out of his revery as they approached the bar. "oops I havn't been a very good escort, I've been kinda quiet, but we're here. welcome to the Black Hand. the seediest and safest bar in tommies territory." Baph chuckled, the only reason the Black hand was the safiest was because of the people inside. You didn't pick a fight there unless you wanted to commit suicide. Also because baph was a regular, and he made sure people didn't disturb him while he was here.

Fayori perked up as they got to the bar, wondering why he was asking about Cyrus and the patient at their apartment. She shrugged. Probably an innocent reason. After all, Baph had made it clear she was an annoyance to him, and was just being nice now. He wouldn't be asking to see if she was single. So, might as well tell the truth. She looked around at some of the rough looking Daruma in the Black Hand, some of them staring back at her in awe, as if she was some rare creature to be had. It made her snuggle a little closer to Baphomet, which made them gape only a little more. It was kinda scaring her. Didn't they have women in the slums? Were they going to eat her?

"Well, Cyrus has been my friend since I was little. Our families used to live next door to one another, but things happened in Cy's life that went bad for him.....and....mine didn't. He ended up in the slums, and I became a doctor in the city, but he lives with me now. I feel safe with him though because he's.....hm. How to put it......he kinda likes the male species as much as I do." she chirpped, totally outing Cyrus. It wasn't as if he'd ever meet Baph anyways, right? It was unlikely, since Fayori doubted she'd ever see him again, even if she wanted to. As for the second question, she sat down at a booth in the corner to answer that. She bit her lip, looking to the bar and wondering what to get. Should she let herself go today? She was with Baph, and she trusted him, and he was definately hardcore enough to take care of her and make sure no one took advantage of her. She was a notorious lightweight.

"As for the patient at our house, it seems Cy picked up some runaway rich kid down here in the slums, and took him back to our apartment to patch him up. Sounds like the poor little thing has a torn muscle, possible ligament damage. I told Cyrus to massage it with a particular ointment that soaks into the skin and helps regenerate the muscle tissue. It's standard hospital supply for athletic injuries, and I keep it around for Cyrus sometimes," she answered, still looking over at the bar with a sense of longing. Yeah, she decided she could go for it. Worst case scenario is that Baph would call Cyrus on her phone and ask him to pick her up and take her home, right? That's what she would do. Looking around at the patrons, who were still gaping though, she found herself a little nervous.

"Hey Baph, why are all these guys looking at me like they're either amazed I'm here, or like they're gonna eat me alive? Also, may I have a Bloody Mary now?" she questioned, smiling up at him and cocking her head sweetly. She figured she'd get about three quarters of the way through the Bloody Mary and be drunk, if it was large.

Baph listened closely to Fayori's explaination of Cyrus. Well that was a reliefe, just a childhood friend, and one who was no compitition either. So she was a rich kid, with a penance for taking in down and out people, or atleast one of them. Maybe he could work it so that Lohkie could get out of these slums. Fayori might be worth keeping in touch with.

Baph was slightly disapointed that it wasn't anything more important than a sprain. He could have won some serious brownie points with Tommy if it had been a gang related incident.

At Fayori's question Baph looked around the room. Most of the guys were looking at Fayori. Baph grinned and leaned over to Fayori. "There's another reason this is the safest bar in Tommies territory." Baph smirked and leaned even cose whispering in Fayori's ear. "The Blach Hand is a gay bar. Not many women come in here." He smiled and walked over to the bar. "now what'll you have Fayori."

Baph wasn't gay himself, but a Gay bar did keep things safe, No one wanted their secret out. Hence Baph came here often for a quiet drink. Not many people were willing to hit on a Daruma as different looking as he. And not many were willing to pick a fight with someone with such a reputation as Baph. Because of this the Black Hand litterally was the quietist place in Tommies territory.

Fayori blushed as Baph answered her, after informing her just what kind of bar the Black Hand was. She'd never been in a gay bar before, and she vaugely wondered if Cyrus had ever been here. Ah, Cy, always on her mind. She wondered how he was doing with that patient. That kid, what did he say his name was, oh yeah, Kuji. Cute name, you could call him Kuu. But she was with Baph now, she had to focus on him. She was curious now if he was gay too. Maybe he and Cyrus could....no, probably not. Cy liked the cute, sweet types, and Baph just LOOKED like he'd take control in any relationship. It made Fay a little miffed if he wasn't up for grabs though. Looking up at him, her eyes were hopeful for a negative answer.

"You're not......you're not gay too, are you Baph? I-I mean, if you ARE that's totally okay too!" she stuttered, getting shy and giddy. She didn't do well figuring out if someone was avaliable or not usually. It made her nervous. Wrapping her tail around herself, she pulled her legs up onto the seat and lounged happily. She looked comfortable and content, despite being jittery, and a few guys looked at her and she smiled back. She didn't know if they knew she was a girl or if they thought she was a highly feminine man. Either way, she could be polite and cheerful if she needed to be. For now, she just needed a drink. It'd be nice to relax a little after that traumatic slap to the face. It was really a little stressful to say the least. Hence the drink.

As she waited in silence, she let her mind drift. Did she have anything important to do? No, not really. Well, she DID have to go to that party soon with her colleagues and other wealthy and important people. Booooooring. She'd rather be curled up in bed, reading a good book, or out on a date like all her other female friends seemed to be. Even Cyrus had a steady flow of dates coming in. Sometimes more than one a night! How come Fayori couldn't get a date? She was pretty, and very smart, and had a cute personality, so why all the hard breaks for her? She knew she wanted to see Baph again though. That was for certain. Hm. Wonder why. Yeah, she warmed up to people quickly, but she usually controlled her major desire to go on dates. Especially with guys as rough as Baph. He was about as rough as they came, in her point of view from what she'd seen here.

"Ah....I'd like a Vodka cranberry, actually," she answered to his question about the drink. She rarely drank Vodka, but she figured it was as good a time as any and she liked it.

Baph smirked and chuckled. "No, i'm not gay." baph replied "no need to get so uptight about it anyways. we're all guys here," baph smiled mischeviously and turned to the room. He had not been trying to conceal his response and waved to the watchers. "Isn't that right girls?"

Baph turned to the bar again to general quiet chuckles. Baph was relaxing in here everyone knew how to keep a secret, he didn't have to keep up his pretense of savage engager. You could visibly see the strees leave his body as he relaxed into his chair, sipping from small glass the bartender handed him. From the corner of his eye Baph watched fayori. She really was something to look at, and she had some amazing skills as a doctor. Maybe she would be worth taking under his controll.

Baph raised his eyebrow slightly as Fayori ordered vodka, he wondered just how well she could hold her drink. He wondered for a second if he should see, but that quickly passed. It wasn't often that Baph got the chance to actually relax, He should enjoy it while he could.

Baph sat there for a bit, realizing that he should probably talk more. start some sort of conversation. groping around for a bit for anything that came to mind Baph blurted out "So, you get called out to the outerlimits often?"

Baph kicked himself, was there anything more lame that he could have asked? of course she hadn't been out there often, considering how out of it she seemed. Baph didn't get many chances to talk to girls, atleast not more than, "how much?" He liked Fayori, it would be nice to bring her under his controll. But if he kept at it, he could probably lose her easily.
