Personally, I've always liked the "Catfolk" from 3.5. There's not much to them other than a big (+4) bonus to Dex, and a normal (+2) bonus to Cha. Oh, and Darkvision. I find they make particularly good Warlocks.

Yes, I play a Warlock.

I'm personally a reptilian/draconic fan. Any race that falls in that category is fine with me.

All time favorite race to play as? Most likely the Dragonborn of Bahamut from the Races of the Dragon book from 3.5. Since basically you turn another race "into" this race I typically use a "human" base just for the feat and skill points.

I've always wanted to try out a dragon, and thus far the closest I've gotten was a very young rust dragon.

I'm currently a big fan of Humans, Dwarves, Drow, Tieflings, and Half-Orcs. I don't know why but I kind of like playing a character that has some racial prejudice thrown against them.

Bronze Half-Dragon, just can't beat a race that comes with it's own set of weapons... Extra Str, and a higher DC... these things make Brutal Monks... and Drunken Masters.

I like playing as anything except for human. Sure, the extra bonuses are nice, but...its just a bland clean-slate character race.

Human is my main go to race, otherwise its usually something rather exotic, Drow being one of them, but I have a good number of races I like, can't say which one is my absolute favorite though

Lately, I'm enjoying Silverbrow Humans. I don't like regular humans simply because I always forget to factor in the extra skill point, and they just seem too plain.
I also enjoy using any strange race I can find.
I once put the "winged" template on a wood-elf.
Tiefling, Kobold, or anything Chaotic is always fun for me.

Recently got the chance to play a Psuedodragon taking levels in Dragonfire Adept (think warlock, but breaths fire/other effects instead of throwing hellfire) and it was a BLAST! Loved it even more then the times I've played Pixie Rogue using toothpicks as daggers, and still getting the full Sneak Attack bonus. Blindsense, and Telepathy 60ft opened up ways for me to get some interesting feats to turn my little dragon into a Radar.

-Mindsight: Lets me detect and living creature with an intellegence of a minimum of 1, along with determine their actual intellegence score (which is the Wizard?) and their race (Hey guys, that guy is really a Doppleganger in disquise!)

That and I got to pretend to be the spellcaster's familiar, when really I was more his owner.
