A rather amusing comic I found on the Steampunk forum. True, it does make fun, but it's always good being able to laugh at yourself isn't it? xp

Any airship worth its salt is filled with helium instead; and so not subject to such exploding nonsense.

And wouldn't 99.9% of airships keep the buoyant gas AWAY from hungry human lungs? No way anyone would hide in the actual balloon part. ^_^

Yeah... that too.

Fun Note!

Some designs of airships have a balloon filled with hydrogen (although most of the lifting comes from helium).
This is so that when fuel is burnt - thus causing the airship to become lighter - the hydrogen can be burnt off to reduce lift by a like amount.
(The alternative being the capture the exhaust from the engines).
